Comment:
I was on Lexapro about a year. I gained quite a bit of weight. Also, I was tired all the time. I would fall asleep in the middle of the day (when not at work) and went to bed very early. I am transitioning to a different medication.

The doctors don't tell you this, or maybe most of them don't know. I took Lexapro for a couple of years to deal with depression from a stressful job/condescending boss. It did work, but when I stopped taking it I started getting brain jolts, zaps in my mouth, dizziness, vertigo type feeling when I would move my eyeballs, spinning when I would move my eyeballs, and I also had headaches. ... This medication does not effect your brain and cause drozsiness or anything of the sorts

i am a 30 year old female that has always had problems with depression and anxiety. i have tried other medications such as zoloft and by far lexapro is the best for me. i feel normal in every way possible. even though i still have suicidle thoghts, this medication really takes the edge off. i can actually live a normal life without being afraid of everything and everbody. i actually feel like ... Comment:
i have been now onthe treatment for alittle over 2 years. if i happen to miss a dose,i do notice a difference. i get very edgy, irritable. sometimes cannot hold a simple conversation, snappy with my kids,etc.
