Had almost total stoppage of urine due to enlarge prostate. This was slow process over ten years. (77 years of age.) Now have a catheter. Taking Avodart 5 mg for three months. Have no discernible side effects. Prostate has not decreased in size, since I had the catheter removed once and had to have it inserted within six hours and still have almost total blockage. Five years ago Avodart was prescribed because of enlarged prostate/urination problems. I also was taking Flomax, but before including Avodart. I "insist" that Avodart killed my sex drive and caused ED. My doctor says Avodart does not do that. It did! I was not forewarned! I stopped Avodart after several months. My ED problem remains!
