regarding effectiveness, that can only be known at the end of the 2 year treatment and a follow-up bone density test? very satisfied at end of first 6 momths. my doctors, pharmacist( a Pharm. D.), and Lilly customer service have been great; esp. with choice of smallest thinnest needle: BD 5mm 31G. I use few meds., so this was a major decision to take a daily injectable for 2 years.

I have only been on it for a few weeks so as whether it is helping or not I can not tell. I am trying to find out if there is a generic drug for this and what it is. Thank you Betty

Was easy and convenient to use and the only positive results I have had with any osteoporosis medication. I have no positive results with fosamax, etc. With forteo, the results were amazingly good.
