Started at 6mg a day. Took myself off cold turkey - went insane. Do not lower your dose and play doctor. I am now down to 2mg a day. I take it, and about 45 minutes later, I feel better, emotionally as well. Concerned too, switching from one opiat eto another. Withdrawals are HORRIBLE. It DOES help pain, I use it for fibroids and endometriosis pain vs. other dangerous treatments.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW OF LONG-TERM SIDE EFFECTS? I WAS ON PAINPILLS FOR TWO YEARS AND SUBOXONE CURED ME. THE ONLY THING IS THE SIDE EFFECTS I GET ARE SWOLLEN ANKLES AND WHEN I SAY SWOLLEN I MEAN IT. ALSO I GET TIRED IF I AM SITTING IN CHURCH AND IT IS SO EMBARRASSING BECAUSE MY EYES FEEL LIKE THEY ARE ROLLING IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD, LIKE I AM DRUGGED!

I was taking hydrocodone for neck pain and became physically addicted to it. I started on suboxone and immediately felt better. I am afraid to quit taking it now. I've been on it for almost 3 years. I take 4 mgs. a day.
