I have experienced constant thoughts of suicide. Didn't know until checking on WebMD that Singulair could cause this.

I have been on Singulair since it was available. It has been a Godsend. I have had asthma for over 40 years. I just realized this evening that the generic is not working for me. I've taken Singulair for over 18 years and it was very effective and caused no side effects that I was aware of. Recently my phamacy switched me to the generic for of this drug and it has totally failed. I'm now dealing with a severe asthma problem and once again needing to use albuteral inhalers. STAY AWAY FROM GENERIC SINGULAIR if you have had good control with the name brand.

I have used Singulair for several years with great success. I hardly ever needed to use my inhaler. All of that changed this year with generic. It is a disaster. I am now using my albuteral at least 3 times a day. I will be asking my Dr to change me to a different drug the end of this month.
