My 5 year old son was put on this medication for several of the reasons above and it greatly improved his wheezing and breathing, but it caused major mood/behavioral changes. He became very defiant, cried all the time, angry, unhappy, and falling apart about everything.

The stuttering starting a couple of weeks after he began Singulair but stopped immediately after we took him off of it. We didn't realize it was the cause until we put him back o

So four months ago he switched me to singulair; I take it every other night. My breathing is fantastic! however, I've put on 5 lbs and notice I'm either irritable or "down" much of the time. I'm going to cut back the dosage to just twice a w
