I get frequent sinus infections due to a deviated septum. I use Sudafed to help clear my nose and ears.

I took Sudafed 12 hour for sinusitis. I figured I'd be able to get some sleep. Wrong!! I was up most of the night with no relief from my symptoms. It felt like I had a concrete block sitting on my left cheek and forehead. I finally was able to get some sleep after the medicine wore off which was about 6am. I've had really bad sinusitis and allergies throughout most of my live and after two surgeries and numerous antibiotics (worked for some time only) I gave up and went to my local pharmacy. The dose stated on the box didn't help me at all, but when I doubled it, I had side effects similar to the ones described by tango. I have been using sudafed for over 30+ years for nasal congeston cased by chronic, maxillary sinusitis. Back when I was a USAF medic it was a prescription drug. I like the 12 hour version. I have tried the PE, it sucks, is useless.

i noticed that my body gets dry myskin feels, drier than usual my eyes dryier urination and constipation. please advise if these are usual symtoms and what i can do to counteract them. thank you JohnCvonColln@frontiernet.net
