I haven't even been taking this for 1 month yet but I can def. tell the difference. I had my gallbladder removed after having my 2nd baby and a year later was having diarrhea still. My diarrhea wasn't every day but it was enough to make you mad. Every time I would try to go somewhere I would have to turn around and come home. I couldn't wear my seatbelt in the car. After pregnancy and birth of my child I had to have my gallbladder removed due to it being diseased and having stones. Since then I have had cronic diahrrea and it was controling my life.. The doctor prescribed colestipol. For the most part it works.. I take 3 capsules a day but if I miss a dose the diahrrea comes back. I had parts of small and large intestine removed, therefore inhibiting my bile absorbtion. The excess bile in my intestines led to many trips to the bathroom. I started taking Questran, which is a powder and it worked OK once I found the correct dosage. Just started taking Colestipol pills, 2 mgs 2x/day, which is easier to take than powder. My Dr. prescribed this for chronic diarrhea. I've been on it for at least two years . Some days it works but more often than not it doesn't. Several months ago he added Lonox in hopes that it would help. It hasn't. Over the last few years several different medications have been tried but nothing seems to help much.
