My neurologist mentioned that this med is so antiquated that I'm her only patient on it. I have MS and have used this drug since 2002, but still was having some pain. So, I was switched to something newer. After one week, because of the pain and overwhelming fatigue, I changed back to Dantrolene . After comparison, dantrolene works much better and I can function while taking it. The minor pain I...

I am taking one 20 Mg capsule one hour before bed to alleviate muscle spasm due to multiple sclerosis. I was having involuntary muscle spasms in one lower leg that would lead to cramping when I was trying to go to sleep. I am on the smallest dose recommended and it has stopped the bad spasms for the most part. A side effect is my left foot seems to swell and it is not going away.

I have MS and baclofen works but not all the time, and I needed something to help me get moving because I am relatively young and my entire life has been affected by this disease, Dantrolene saved my life. Give it a try and stick with it the drowsiness goes away and you will feel like you are in the land of living again, just be sure to get reg liver test done by your doctor. Amazing drug and oldie but goodie per my doctor...

I began to use this drug for treatment of muscle spasms caused by a high level neck injury( c-spine/c4&c5). seems to work well in the beginning but seems to lose effectiveness after long use(post injury 5yrs. I had a few side effects occur, dizzy, tired, and slurred speech, got better with time but still occur on occasion. Most severe side effect was sensitivity of sun. Within a half hour of sun exposure(direct sun) Felt anxious, overheated, nausea, blood pressure spike. Spinal cord injury are very unique from patient to patient... Read More Read Less

i am using this drug to treat spams after a severe stroke. it has been effective inasmuch that it has relaxed my muscles in order for me to be able to incorporate my limb to daily actvities. i am far from been cured. i've only used the drug for three weeks but i am confident that i i continue its use it will help me recover. although not guaranteed, i expect to be at 90-95% within one year.
