Comment:
I take terazosin twice daily. Once in the evening and once in the morning. I really notice when I am late taking it, freqency of urinating goes way up along with increased pain. I've noticed the pain issue worsened when I drink soda pop (usually diet drink pepsi, coke..), not sure if it's the sodium or the caffiene but I've cut way back (almost none) on soda, 1-2 a week used to be 4-5 ... Comment:
The difficulties have been a dry nose and mouth at night; and a upset stomach from time to time. The pharmacy dispensed CAPSULES (gelatin outside, powder inside) however the Dr says to take 1.5 each night. Not easy to do with capsules!

10mg capsules taken at bedtime for 9 evenings. The worst side effect for me was experiencing prolonged erections that lasted 4 or more hours each and every night. After 9 nights of erections, I stopped taking the drug. Did have good urine flow while on this drug. Will go back to using 8mg tablet Doxazosin. Dr. started me on Flowmax for enlarged prostate.THe side effects were awful. After 30 days changed to Terazosin. Wow!!! What a differnce. No sexual side effects at all which is great. Improved unination flow and don't get up at night either. Only side effects I have noticed is some dry mouth at night. Comment:
Taking 2 mg before bed. Seldom now need to urinate during the night. Less frequent urination during the day. Stronger stream of urine, starts easier.
