I am very happy with this medication. I take with a beta blocker as well for my extremely overactive thyroid. The only noticable side effect so far has been weight gain. 15 lbs in a month and a half. I am more active and stay in my calorie range so I should be maintaining or even losing a little. But I feel so much better that it is worth it. I am taking this along with a beta blocker. I have experienced mild itchy skin (thought it was environmental it was so mild) and my muscles cramp more easily but still not that bad. I have gained about 30lbs overall though with this med. I did stop taking it for two months and lost 10lbs but because of increasing hormone levels i had to start taking it again. I just start this med 22 days ago. it works good on me.(10mg per day.) But on the 23 day my body is so itching. I can not sleep because of it. I am waiting for the radioactive iodine treatment . No more pills.

My levels were just slightly in the hyper range and I rejected surgery and radioactive treatment about years later tried this miracle drug. After a few months, the doc started cutting the dosage and cutting back the dosage even more. about 1 year I stopped taking it after going slightly into hypo range.
