I struggled with a "complicated extraction" as the dentist put it on my wisdom teeth. I struggled with the pain for a while but eventually requested some meds. The dentist gave me this and it knocked out the pain very fast. It made me fall asleep instantly. WARNING!!!- Although this drug was very effective, I cut my dosage in half of what the dentist recommended. I found myself confused, my sleep ...

DO NOT USE THIS MEDICATION LONGER THAN A FEW DAYS FOR PAIN. BETTER TO USE ANOTHER PAIN MED THAN BECOMING ADDICTED TO THIS POWERFUL NARCOTIC!!!! ALSO CAUSES HALLUCINATIONS, NIGHTMARES, TREMORS, INABILILTY TO CONCENTRATE OR SLEEP. IT SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MARKET!!!

Prescribed lortab for pain after knee surgery. Never phased the pain. Up all night. Motrin did a better job. Plus, I told the nurse I could not take lortab because I'm allergic to codeine. She stated this had no codeine in it. Itched profusely all over body all night long.

I used the 10/600 form after abdominal surgery, it worked great as long as I remembered to take with food. Empty stomach = nausea and vomiting within 8 hrs for me. Recently had severe osteoarthritis pain and was reluctantly prescribed the 5/325 formulation. It is not enough to stop my severe, acute joint pain. Dr.'s are cracking down on illegal use and innocent people like myself are getting caught up and hurt in the process. I can barely walk while taking the max prescribe dose. I had to beg for pain meds and broke down crying before the doc said, "You've made your point." This was in an ER two days after going to my local Urgent Care Clinic. At the clinic they flat out refused to give me anything for the pain even though I explained I could barely walk, ibuprofen wasn't working, and the x-ray they took showed damage in my hip joint. This is not a case of "whoa is me!" It is a case of, "now I can't walk, I need pain control and I need to find a new job that can accommodate my disability". I am not a lazy no-life having young adult loser as another reviewer may refer to me. I want to work and contribute to society but cannot work when I am in severe pain.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed this medication for pain after dental surgery. I took one on the day after my procedure and was almost immediately severely nauseous. I also had hot flashes followed by sweating and shaking. I actually had to throw up about an hour after taking. These symptoms lasted for about 24 hours. Obviously not the pain med for me. I will never take again!

I've taken this off and on for years. However, after a few weeks it stops working. I also dont like the fact I'm taking APAP as well. One this I also do that seems to help me more is to take Kratom, I found a consistent source ( took me a few years ) but they are potent and reliable. Kratombuyer dot com is where I get mine, I take about a teaspoon with warm orange juice, works like a strong opiate. Much better than lortab.

I have taken Lortabs for about ten years now and they work great. Went to 7.5 for 5.5 when I had to take care of my mother. Now with all the over abuse of this drug, my doctor has given me a pill that says it is Lortabs and I know they are not. My pain does not go away now and I personally think they are picking on elderly people because they do not raise such a fuss if they have to give up a medication. Now I have pain all the time and I most certainly am not a drug abuser and my doctor know that. I think it is sad that elderly people that have worked hard all their life and get old and hurt and they get punished for these young slugs that hollow ''wooo's is me'' and would do anything to keep from working and being a responsible adult. My opinion is it is not the elder people that abuse this drug, its the young and middle age people that just does not want to get a life.Read More Read Less

the pain became less apparent because of the excess of nausea it caused. The worst drug I have every used.

I had foot surgery and this medicine has helped a whole lot with the pain and doesn't seem addicting to me at all.Contrary to what I've heard.

Drug kept me with mild pain I could manage when used to keep my blood level even, now my doctor is reducing from 60 to 45 pills a month and I have more pain stiffness and soreness and can barley move at times. I never abused it and took as directed. I am 80 yrs.old and don't understand why I must be in more pain. I never had any bad side effects and was satified with the drug help.

Loritab takes the edge off the pain, but does not eliminate it.
