I am very happy with aralast. The only concern I have is the infusion must take over 30 min. or I get a headache and/or light headed. So be sure nurse doing the infusion keeps the drip slow enough to prevent these reactions. Dave from Grand Island

I have been using other drugs for my alpha one, that I soon became allergic to after a time. I have been getting treatment since 1991, and out of all three Aralast seems so far doing better for me. The only down is the joint and muscle pain as it gets pretty bad at times, but the upside is fewer infections and hospital stays.

It has slowed the decline in lung function and reduced the number of respiratory infections from 9 a year to about 1. I've had no side effects after 7 years and feel I will live a normal life span.

I have been on this for almost 2 years. I have bad joint and muscle pain but I haven't had a lung infection in the entire time I have been on this. Still have trouble breathing but I think this medication has prevented me from getting worse. Love it and feel without it I would have died by now.

I have use Aralast for the past 6-7 years with no side effects. I feel it has slowed the progression of my A1AT. I definitely notice many less lung infections such as bronchitis since I have taken Aralast. Baxter has a program to obtain free product after each trimester used if you find yourself without insurance.
