I love this birth control. I see a lot of bad reviews but I have been using it for over 4 years now and compared to others I have tried it is the best. For me, on this dose I have never gotten a period. Every few months I have very light spotting during the time the time one should have a period with this drug. My doc says it is fine, I do not ovulate on this med. I have never gained any weight on ... Show Full Comment

I am taking Microgestin FE 120 for a month now. I took the first pill and then decided to just read up on it. I was scared out of my mind after reading reviews. I tried to calm myself down by saying that people usually only give reviews with a bad occurence. Raily do people seek out these sites to give a positive one. Nevertheless I was scared. I have been on this med for about 4 weeks and have had the worse acne of my life! I have never had the enourmous eruptions I have now nor had I ever had acne as a teen. Maybe once a month I would get a zit but this is out of control large underground acne! And they dont go away! I gotta change!

I haven't been taking it long but I'm taking it for birth control and lighter periods. Since taking it I have noticed I've been more irritable, no sex drive and my bf jokes saying it's a birth control not sex control. I feel hotter also. I have been taking this pill for a couple of years and i loved it.....at first. Now i desperately need to switch to something else. I have recently lost 20 lbs...and maybe that is why it no longer works for me, but my periods now last about 2 days longer than normal, the bleeding is heavy, and the cramps are horrible.
