Planned parenthood switched me this brand of POP after I told them I had ONE migraine with an aura, they said it was policy to take me off of my combo pill which I had been on and LOVED for 3 years. So the 1st month I had horrific cramping and acne. I found it extremely difficult to take this pill at the exact same time even with an alarm set. I became terrified of becoming pregnant. I've taken Jolivette while I've nursed my children (a total of 3 years so far), and I've had no problems. The only abnormal thing is that taking the pill stops my period completely, but I don't miss it!

My doctor prescribed this to me because I have migraines with an aura, traditional estrogen birth control has been linked to blood clots with this condition. I have been taking the pill for 6 months. I took it very consistently by setting an alarm each day. Once I began taking this medication I experienced excessive acne breakouts, significant weight gain, and increasing severity for my migraines. ... Show Full Comment

I had so many side effects with this pill. -nausea -fatigue -spotting/random bleeding -missed periods -moodyness -cramps -Ik there's more but can't think of them I wasn't always good at taking them in the beginning. I have been taking this medication for 7 months now because I am sensitive to estrogen pills. I have experienced weight gain and almost every month breakthrough bleeding. I will have full 5 to 7 days period which is way more than I used to you and not bleed for one or two days then start another cycle of bleeding.
