I have developed chronic tendonitis, pain and cramping in my hands and wrists since starting on statins one year ago. The pain in my hands is severe cramping and stiffness in the morning. Arthritis has been ruled out. My orthopedic hand specialist raised his eyebrows when I asked him if this was caused by statins. READ THIS REVIEW. Within 3-4 weeks I developed unusual sensations in my thighs which woke me up at night - like a million ants were crawling, like electricity was running through them, or like they were vibrating. I've been taking 5mg of Crestor for 22 months. I didn't notice any side effects at all - right away that is. I did have fatigue and muscle weakness and was always tired but likened that to beginning "the change". Then it began.... muscle cramps and Plantar Fasciitis.
