This drug has done wonders for my depression. I have suffered from depression for years. I was on prozac first, but with the high dosage I needed, it completely took away my sex drive and ability to climax....not fun! I fell much more alert with this drug as opposed to Remeron, which I stopped using becasue I wanted to lose weight. However, I sometimes have trouble sleeping. I have stared to lose weight slowly -- four pounds after two months of ues.I am going to add more dietary changes and hope to lose more weight. i am going off this drug,why are the withdrawal effects so bad & how long will this take? can i do something in the meantime?

The doctor prescribed this drug for me, I battled with chronic depression and some anxiety; Had previously tried Prozac, that didn't work...then Amitryptilene (sp ck), that did not help either (both made symptoms worse)...
