I don't usually write reviews, but I feel like I should for anyone considering this birth control. I've been taking this pill for a year now however I noticed side effect the past 4-5 months. I've experienced weight gain (5-10 lbs) and a major change in my mood. I was usually a very positive person, but over the past few months, I feel very depressed and get very angry, irritated, and ... I thought it might have been because I was new to the BC, and you're supposed to wait 3 months before you make a final commitment. But it's been five-six months now, and I've read all these other reviews, and I feel the need to join in with the other women in sayin ... Show Full Comment

I am 36 and have never experienced a side effect from BC pills. After taking Junel for 1-2 months I have gained 5 pounds, suffered severe mood swings, have acne all over my forehead, and my breasts are a full size larger. I never post on sites but all of these effects are so far from my normal self that I had to alert others. I switched pills this month and my doctor told me it will take 2 mont ... Show Full Comment

I am not one to write reviews but I felt it was necessary for this drug because of the way it effected me. I was on Loestrin FE for 7 years (without any problems) when my insurance changed and stopped covering non-generic medications. I was then switched to Junel. I am the type of person who never really believed drugs like this could effect you as much as they say they can but let me tell you thi ... Show Full Comment
