i have been on a few different birth control pills (LoEstrin FE, Microgestin Fe) and now Junel FE 1/20. This is my third pack and so far so good. I have not experienced any side effects except for shorter periods, which is a good thing. They last two days, if that. I have noticed that I may be alittle more emotional, but then again I am also a cancer (zodiac) so it doesnt take much to get us emoti ... Show Full Comment

I do not recommend taking Junel Fe. I've been taking birth control for about 3 years now and switched to this generic brand due to insurance coverage. When I first started taking it my periods were much lighter around 3 days, but now they are lasting 6-7 days. I also have become extremely irritable and moody a few days before my period. As if that wasn't bad enough, I missed the next two periods which put me through the stress of thinking I was pregnant. After missing ... Show Full Comment

I have been on different birth controls for about 10 years. My periods have always been pretty heavy, usually lasting about 7 days each time. About a year ago, I started getting my period 5-7 days each time, at least twice a month. I have had the IUD, the shot and have tried several different birth control pills. None of them helped with any of my symptoms, and all made me incredibly nauseous. I h ... Show Full Comment

I'm 18 and I take Junel without the placebos. The first week I took this drug, I felt fine. However, the second week was hell. Nausea to the max, I thought it was morning sickness! Although the nausea has subsided quite a bit- it helps A LOT with my skin. I'm feeling more anxious than usual and a lot more testy. Mood swings galore esp. when I'm close to my period. NOW my flow is usuall ... Show Full Comment
