My 16 year old started taking this for his acne and the nausea and headaches started right away. I told him to give him a chance to see if his body would get used to it. Now his whole body is covered with large, red hives he had to get a shot for the itching and discomfort. Please do not let her child or yourself take this med.

My daughter took minocycline for over a year with poor results. During a routine bloodtest at her physical they found her liver enzymes to be highly elevated. An ultrasound showed no problems. She has always been an emotionally and physically healthy child. After reading many of these posts, I am pretty certain that it is this med and I have taken her off of it. After 17 days of taking this medicine for advanced rosacea I developed terrible scalp itch, intermittent itching on different body parts, welts on my legs, and dermographism. I have been taking an antihistamine for two weeks. I would never recommend this drug to anyone.
