Prescribed Cipro 500mg 2x/day, for 7 day period for UTI. Made me feel nauseaus and light-headed. I continue to use since it was only for 7 days. On the fifth day the doctor's office called and said the results of the test were negative and that I should immediately stop the medication. I did so, but my muscles were paining and I could hardly stand or walk without holding on, my gait was erradic

I was prescribed Ciprofloxacin 250mg for bacterial UTI. Within minutes of taking first dose began to experience allergic reaction: itching; red welts on arms, legs, chest, stomach; tingling face; swollen neck gland; swollen lips; multiple sneezing; and runny nose. Have never before experienced such a fast reaction. Took Benadryl to ease allergic symptoms and got RX for a different medication.

I went into the ER with a Kidney Stone. The urine analysis showed the possibility of a UTI, so I was prescribed this medication for 7 days.

I was told to take a full months worth to treat high psa caused by possible infection in my prostate. From day one I had loose stools and belly aches. As time passed the loose stools got worse and so did the aching belly...YIKES!!! This antibiotic is overkill and I needed to take probiotics to restore all the natural flora this drug killed in my GI tract. I ended up getting off this drug one week
