My lips swelled and After about 1 hr developed a severe headache. I took the 2nd dose the next day and experienced the same symptoms. I would sleep for days, calling in sick to work, somedays were so bad I couldn’t even manage the phone call and slept right throug ... Show Full Comment

The biggest problem I've encountered is that it has made me quite sleepy. I've also noticed the dizziness and light headedness that can be side-effects. However, they haven't been so bad that I've felt the need to discontinue taking the medicine. And it's worked for getting rid of my first, and hopefully last, UTI.

Began taking 2 @ 500 @ day @ 10 days for UTI three days after taking prednisone for 9 days for asthma problems. I think the prednisone brought on my UTI because it began the 8th day after beginning the prednisone. Today I just took my 4th ciprofloxacin. Urinating is easier already but a little concerned about all the side effects I've been reading here especially after taking the prednisone. ... Show Full Comment
