I have been on this pill for almost 4 years now. For the most part I have never had a problem. My only fear is once I am off the pill being able to have a baby. Also the only side affect I have had was headachs during the last week of each pack which could also be from my period.

I have been on Velivet for around 4 years. I have had a problem with veins in my legs that I had never related back to the pill until yesterday. I have read lots of studies and realize that this had to be the cause. I quit taking them. I believe this can be a problem for lots of birth control pills. I don't think they are as safe as they say they are.

Have been taking this pill for about 4 years now and as an acne treatment paired with a topical it works well enough. Finally to the age to use it as contraceptive and so far I have had no issues, regulated short periods are an added bonus. No major or concerning side effects and minimal cramping before or during periods, most noticeable change is mood swings varying month to month.

Switched to this pill two months ago from caziant tablets. I have no negative side effects other than breast pain before periods and I have ZERO sex drive.

I've been on this pill for several years. No noticeable side effects, no weight gain, no excessive moodiness (besides my normal!). I've been happy with it.

I am only on my second week so I cannot judge the effectiveness yet. However the side effects are bad. I have constant nausea and it makes every meal horrible. I have breast tenderness too, which started yesterday. Also, I am constantly drowsy and tired and that makes it hard to be active at all. Even walking gives me shortness of breath.

The pill was great, minimal side effects, and my period was very light and short. However, I recently discontinued use of it as it severely decreased my sex drive.

I have been on this pill for two months now and I already want to go back to my other pills. Last month my boobs felt as if they were going to pop they hurt so bad! This month has been terrible. I have terrible back pain, I'm nauseous , I have terrible headaches, I'm eating everything in the kitchen, and I'm weak all day. I didn't realize the side effects of this pill were going to be this bad. My doctor reccommended I switch to this brand because the dosage of hormones was less than my previous brand. I had no side effects other than crankiness with those pills so I'm definitely switching back to my old pills. Read More Read Less

I have been on this medication for almost a year now and have experienced various side effect mostly minor ones up until now. I have no been experiencing every side effect there is expect vomiting and blood in my urine and diarrhea. The most severe side effect I have experienced is shortness of breath and feeling like I can't get air and that is the scariest one along with blackout collapsing and dizziness. some of the other side effects I have experienced would be head aches cramping in legs mostly my calves, abdominal pain, constipation, i'm always tired and weak. and when getting off the medication be aware that it is a rough experience. I wouldn't say don't take it because it is very effective, but I would suggest that when getting on a birth control medicine do the research into the side effects Read More Read Less

I have used this pill for the last month, and I just started on my second month. First off, I want to say that I started this pill not on the first day of my period, the reason why I wanted to go on the pill was because my period was irregular. I've lost a total of 10 lbs since starting this pill, and I've noticed that my appetite is a lot smaller now than it was before. I've tried other birth control pills and those always made me eat like a monster, but with this pill, I feel a lot better. The first month is pretty brutal. I had a fever the day after I first started the pill, and then I felt sick with stomach pains for the first couple of weeks, but after the first month, I'm feeling a lot better, and I'm hoping that this pill continues to work for me. The second reason why I started on this pill was because the guy I'm currently seeing wanted to have sex without a condom, which is why I went to the doctor's and requested a pill that didn't have as much hormones as ortho tri-cyclen. I have been on this brand for 10 months. I have gained 20 lbs, grew over a cup size, have lost sex drive, and have daily headaches. This medication works as a birth control but too many side effects.

I have been on this pill for 8 months. I gained weight, have no sex drive, and spot almost daily constantly. I hate this pill.

I love this birth control. I have had no problems since taking it, at all. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for birth control.

Grew a bra size, took away acne, but some water retention at first.

I think this is the generic kind from Othro-tricyclen and it works for me. The only thing about this is that, I've been off BC for two years and I'm just getting back on them. I have been breakthrough bleeding for maybe a week now. I called my doctor and she said that's what it was.
