If I take daily and stay away from all shell seafood I have not had any additional flare ups. I would at one time stop taking only to have the gout flare up again. Daily usage has stopped gout flare up

Two years ago my doctor found gout crystals in my knee while doing surgery for what he thought was a flap of cartilage. I have been on 300mg of allopurinol once a day ever since and have not had any major flare ups ever since. Now, I recently had surgery again on the same knee for a different problem and there was no sign of the gout!
