I was prescribed to take 100mg twice a day on an empty stomach. NO WAY. I was so nauseous I had to start taking it w/ food. Helped, but I was still nauseated and got headaches. It was only when I started feeling really dizzy that I looked into side effects. Though it kept my skin clear from acne (I use topicals as well), it isn't worth the side effects. I've never had acne before. Now at 22 my acne is horrible. It started at the end of college but just got worse. I've been on this med for the past 2 months. I've been taking doxycycline for about 4 months now and have noticed some improvement yet I'm still getting cystic lesions. I would reccomend this medication with the provision that if you don't see significant improvement within a few months to contact your dermatologist and consider discussing other treatment options.
