I have taken Zolpidem Oral (generic for Ambien) for approximately 6 months, now taking it every day. Had a great deal of difficulty ever getting a good rest before being prescribed this drug. Have been using it regularly for several years on days when I work with no problems.

My husband & I have no children at home. After taking medication and not able to go to sleep, I get out of bed, cook, work in my office, drive the car etc. The next morning I remember none of these events. Saw the cake and ask who gave it to us. When I get up at night I make a list of what I am doing, I have NO memory of anything I did. Does anyone have this reaction to taking this medication?
