I use half a dose daily and have been very satisfied with the results as far as preventing vaginal dryness and hot flashes.

Do NOT use synthetic estrogens. It is very bad for your health...just look around the www. Did you know it is actually made of horse urine?! Use plant-derived estrogens...its also more natural for you.

Hi... I am a Transgender Woman just starting medical transition. Have been using EstroGel for 3 months in conjuction with Spironolactone. Even though I've only been taking EstroGel for a short time, I gave it a 5 in 'effectiveness' as my physical changes are on par to what they are supposed to be. Have noted some side effects... anxiety attacks, one severe. Intermittent racing heart and nausea. A one time numbness in my left hand. Anxious to see the full effects of these meds... PS... a note to the Webmaster... Male/Female is one's Sex, Woman/Man is one's Gender...Read More Read Less

This gel is an abomination. I think I need to be about 30 stone to have enough thighs to absorb the prescribed dose

I’ve been using two pumps for over a year. The bottle was oval shaped. When the bottle changed to round the problems began. I thought nothing of the bottle change. The product looked and smelt the same, however, the amount was different. After a few months I began to have symptoms again, nightsweats, anxiety, then I started bleeding which is very alarming . I changed to patches for a while which frankly I dislike. I’ve tested the weight pumped out with my jewellers digital scales..it’s all over the place. Not consistent. I’ve reported it to yellow flag as have lots of other ladies..but we are still being prescribed this excellent medicine in INEFFECTIVE PACKAGING. sort it out please! Read More Read Less

After having a full hysterectomy I was prescribed this gel, at first it worked great but since they’ve changed the packaging it’s awful, there is a forum whereby lots of women have said the same thing. My legs constantly hurt, I’m always extremely hot, agitated, emotional and now have major anxiety amongst other things.

I have been taken off the one a day HRT tablets and out onto the pump, I don’t particularly like the stickiness of the gel but once my hands are washed after rubbing it in, its ok. I appreciate the instructions for use are on a separate leaflet but it’s impossible to read the yellow print on the back of the tube. Perhaps the manufacturers could consider their target market and ensure this print has more contrast to the white background?

Increased blood pressure and agitation. Don’t like the strong smell of alcohol in the gel, and feel this isn’t a healthy option to increase oestrogen

Never had hot flashes or vaginal dryness, just generally feeling very warm all the time. This has been a great help with brain fog, fatigue, muscle aches and motivation in general. A life-changer!

Age 51 & in UK. 5th year on HRT...Femostan 1 & 2 both successful. Need for change now as I've just had a full hysterectomy. Started on Oestrogel, 4 pumps daily (inner thighs 2 morning/2 evening) & Utrogestan (a bioidentical progesterone tablet) taken at bed time.(Still need progesterone due to severity of endometriosis). 2 weeks in & all seems very positive...although still recovering from surgery I have no horrid menopause signs so here's hoping!! Good luck ladies :-)

This treatment is hailed as the holy grail of HRT by many gynaecologists. It helps slow down the onset of dementia and osteoporosis as well as reducing the risk of breast cancer. However it MUST be used with a progesterone as used alone it can cause thickening of the lining of the womb which can be very dangerous. Coupled with the mirena coil I have had many years of relief from awful menopausal symptoms. My mood swings, hot flushes and joint aches and pains have all ceased. Even though I am now 58 my gynea has advsied me to continue to use for as long as possible as it really does carry so many health benefits as we get older. As for hair loss, I have not experienced this although it can be a natural ide effect of the menopause for someRead More Read Less

I have been using for about three months....hot flashes gone but so is my hair....falling out in globs since using the gel. That is the only thing I can contribute this too as I did not have a hair in my brush and now I can make a toupe! Don't know what to do .... may half my doses to control hair loss!

Marked it excellent as it has been for years, until my last refill & I received one different looking bottle. Pharmacist said same product, new look. But it's definitely not the same. Hot flashes, etc all came back within 2 weeks of using. Still had one of the older design bottles left so went back to that and symptoms disappeared. Something has changed with the product, or I received a bad bottle.

I’ve been using oestrogel for 5 weeks now, because have osteoporosis my GP said I had to do something for my bones ass high calcium diet had issues with my heart. Plus side my skins softer better, sleeping better too and vaginal atrophy changed now the tissue down there is engorged. Bad effects nausea, I’ve noticed increased pain in joints/muscles and my abdomen, bloating, fluid retention, honestly I feel strange to say the least … not sure how I feel about it yet with bone health in mind?? I’ll try it for 3 months as my GP asked me to? I had radical hysterectomy in 2011 I stopped HRT because was awful in 2013. I’ve had no oestrogen for 10yrs so I’m not sure if this will help or not?? I find it easy to use and it’s safer than the tablets. Time will tell ! Read More Read Less

I apply 2 pumps of estrogel and I’m on promethium (100mg) tablets, and I’ve nearly been on it for 2 months. I love it and it has changed my life. I had server hot flashes day and night everyday and my mood was all over the place. my periods had stopped for 7 months before taking it and now I have regular light periods and no hot flashes at all. Love it!!

Ignore the people saying this is synthetic. This is a bioidentical product made from yams and soy. It also won’t make you gain weight. If your levels of this hormone are too low then you will gain weight. In the U.K. where I am starting dose is 2 pumps which is working well for me with night sweats, moodiness, aching joints and lack of energy all sorted. We can take up to 4 pumps a day here if needed. I’d argue that you aren’t using enough over there. I’m also on bioidentical progesterone at night which helps me sleep. Look up The Menopause Doctor in the U.K. Her website and app give fantastic advice based on real research and science. This medication has changed my lifeRead More Read Less

After 6 weeks I have gained almost 10lbs. without any changes to caloric intake or workout routine. I have not noticed a significant change in vaginal wall thickness which was my primary reason for starting this hormone replacement therapy after having a hysterectomy a year ago. I am stopping this treatment today.
