Didn't work at all. Just another medication doctors prescribe when they are only concerned with protecting themselves (there's a more colorful term i can't use here) and not treating the patient. When used with three other antidepressants It feels like the anxiety is worse.Felt like I was speeding inside. Discontinued use.

This has been my second time trying this medication. I stopped a few years ago when dizziness became a problem, which has begun again this time. Seems effective with anxiety but constantly dizzy and a bit tired.

on low dose buspar about 3rd week now.i am bipolar & tried off depakote for 1 month with resulting increased anger, irritability, loss appetite, trouble sleeping. always had underlying anxiety when on depakote or in past lithium.i am more social people dont get under my skin as easy but am also reading books on forgiveness, the answer to anger, praying, and getting counseling.For now, buspar i ... I've been on this for a week now, and I can already tell a difference. 10mgs, 3 times a day, working up to 20mgs. I have pretty severe anxiety and panic attacks occasionally, and after the second day, I started to feel so much better.
