My doctor perscribed this hoping that it would help with my depression, however the side effects are terrible. Vomitting, and extreme diarhea. I was grocery shopping once when this came on, and actually pooped my pants. I also would wake up in the morning to find that I had soiled myself. I take 60mg of Cymbalta daily (along with 40mg Geodon) and my mood has improved an amazing amount. I went from hardly ever talking to my parents, to hugging and kissing them goodnight. I was on 20mg before and its effects started to wear off, so I was upped to this dose. I have struggled with depression most of my life. Cymbalta was a Godsend. After a few weeks of taking 30 mgs. once a day, I started to lose those horrible feelings of worthlessness and negativity. Since then life has thrown me a few major curve balls, which I truely believe I survived because of my treatment with Cymbalta.
