I was to the point where I was considering surgery because of increasing stress incontinence, when my doctor prescribed vesicare. I started out on 5 mgm but had to increase to 10 mgm. It is almost completely effective--I have had few accidents and feel as though I can go anywhere without worrying about leakage. Became very disappointed after about 4 weeks into using the Vesicare it seemed as tho it completely quit working. Daytime is still better however the bed wetting as increased! Help!

My mother takes this medication. While on it she has had 2 events (never before had this happen)where she choked while eating food requiring heimlich. She attributes both of these events to this medication. Makes mouth dry, decreases saliva and I feel can potentially result in life threatening choking. This medic ation has not worked for me my symptoms still remain the same a little more dry during the day but at the end of the day after standing on my feet all day the leakage is exactly the same if not worse I find it difficult to cope with the dry mouth and constipation perhaps Iv not been diagnosed correctly I stopped taking the medication after using it for 2 weeks
