I have ET & Epilepsy. Used this med for approx 6 yrs- 225mg every pm (used 41/2 50 mg tabs). Working as a clinic nurse just didn't work with my other meds. Left me drowsy, unable to multi-task, could only work @ one speed, forgetful. This was used to reduce my ET that was exaggerated by another seizure med (Depakote). I was recently switched off this med & Depakote to another med, and ... Show Full Comment

My father is 92 and shakes to the point that I have started giving him a table spoon to eat with instead of a fork. The drug works for a few hours so I am cutting the 50 Mg tablet in half and giving him half with breakfast and half with dinner.

This medication make me drowsy and sleepy. It does help my ET, but it is hard to work. I have a hard time concentrating at work, I am always in a daze. I attempt to hide the side affect, but I know I am not fooling anyone. I take 200mgs for the past four years.
