My Rx for DermOtic was written so as to allow for substitution of a generic equivalent. Since DermOtic was not listed in my insurance carrier's Formulary, I did some online research and found that its active ingredient is fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%, and there was a listing for that in my insurer's Formulary. I have had the itchiest ears for so long. I would itch them until I was bleeding, fluid running out of them. They drove me absolutely crazy!! Finally I went to an ENT and he prescribed this. I am SO happy with it. It works wonders and feels (and smells) good!
