    I started taking ambien when it first came out and now I totally regret it. It is addictive and I recommend that anybody even thinking of taking ambien should try every other possible choice first. It is a really scary drug because you'll end up doing things in the middle of the night like cook, look for something you misplaced, make phone calls and a lot more and in the morning it will all be ...     I don't know why, but the "generic" version of Ambien has not had a real effect. I've suffered from insomnia for several years and have found a TON of relief from Ambien with no side effects (except a good nights sleep).

    ambien -- heres the deal - id take the Ambien and a few hours later - my body -- woke up - so to speak but i was sleepwalking...and had no recollection - eventually i had to put my cigarettes in the frezer before i went to sleep...why ? well id wake up in this ambien haze - start smoking a cig and then foget what i was doing and pass out again...that was scary - ive heard of people cooking food i ...     Ambien is very good for helping me fall asleep, but not staying asleep. I told my Dr of this & he said to try Ambien CR. There is a generic for regular Ambien, but not for Ambien CR. A 30 day supply @ Walgreens cost me $143.00. Also, the Ambien CR makes me very tired in the a.m. even with 8-9 hrs of sleep. Like it hasn't "worn off yet". I'm going back to regular generic Ambie ...
