I've had anxiety for nearly my whole life, as far back as I can remember, now 30, I've finally spoken to my DR and first prescribed Lexapro, which made me feel like I was completely crazy and had very negative side effects. Then he prescribed me Xanax and feel completely at ease. Still have small anxiety attacks occasionally, but I don't depend on the drug alone to make me better, just ... Show Full Comment

ive been on zanax since it cam out. detox is impossible. i thing i have forever changed the chemicals and what they are supposed to do forever. went to a facility for 4 months and they cut zanax off immediately. a couple valium. I was diagnosed with Panic Attack Disorder when my husband was first deployed to Iraq for the Marine Corps. I only use this drug when I feel a panic attack coming on and it works immediately! I was given others before this, but nothing has worked like this has!

I was prescribed this drug after I had a week-long panic episode. I was scared out of my wits. I felt like someone I loved was about to die. I couldn't get off the couch. I was terrified for no reason, and it really scared me. I missed an entire week of work, sleep, and my daughter's birthday. This medication does not make me nauseous or vomit. I't hasn't exactly worked too well, however.
