this has been the only medication to thwart the negative affects of nerve pain originating in both lower limbs due to amputations. I have taken it for 5 years now and have noticed that the dosage in the first year was fluctuating due to activity and other health effects. Some side effects have shown up but none have done much to keep me from normal activity.

I took it 3 times a day as the Dr. said it only ease the pain for a short while an after taking it for a week I was still having the same pain couldn't sleep at nightpain was worser at night even after take the meds. I was taking 300 mlg

It hasn't worked well for the pain of diabetic neuropathy.was perscribed 1 30 MG 2 times daily.

Had an Intracerebral Hemorrhagic Stroke (ICH) in July '07. Most of the damage was nerve pain due to neuropathic pain on my entire left side -- especially in my hand and foot. Went several months after the stroke not taking meds hoping it would go away.
