I used to sweat from my scalp and face much more than others, esp. in warm weather, social events, playing golf, etc. I now apply it once a week to my scalp and face, and the sweating has completely come under control. I also had an issue with the Drysol itching after application, but found a very good solution to stop it. I apply Caladryl Clear anti-itch lotion (alcohol based) while the Drysol is...

Much like other reviewers Drysol was a fabulous cure to my sweating problem. I am a woman and I was so embarrassed to sweat from my armpits like I did. I applied Drysol once a month for a year and it was amazing. A little itchy/burning upon application but nothing too horrible. HOWEVER - I noticed that even without using Drysol I had stopped sweating. I haven't used it in over eight months and I d...

I experienced intense pain. I could literally feel my skin burning. Did not stop sweating at all and the sweat made my armpits feel even worse. Do not use if you have hyperhidrosis.

No longer works after formula change in 2020. Drysol used to be the only thing that helped with my Hyper Hydrosis symptoms, it worked flawlessly for nearly 5 years. Mid Covid they apparently changed their formula and myself and numerous others I've talked to have reported that it no longer works at all, even in the most minuscule capacity. It's current effectiveness is worse than over-the-counter alternatives and still provides the side effect of rashes, while providing no benefits. Makers of Drysol, make your drug work again, this is unacceptable in it's current state.Read More Read Less

I have had excessive underarm sweating for over 40 yrs. After searching for a solution I found that DrySol work for some people. I asked my doctor to prescribe it for me. It started working after 2 days use. I have never been so dry. If excessive underarm sweating is a problem for you, give this product a try.

About a year ago out of no where, I started sweating excessively in my underarms. I tried so many different deodorants and nothing worked. Finally I went to see the dermatologist who prescribed Drysol. I had awful itching and burning the first 3 days I used it but it was so worth it. I no longer sweat at all. I use the drysol once a week now to keep on top of it and it no longer irritates my skin. I highly recommend this.

Don't get me wrong, this stuff does work great. Within the first few days I noticed I wasn't sweating. My pharmacy told me to just apply it every other say but I started out every day under my arms and every other day for my hands and feet. It irritates under my arms to a point I couldn't move my arms much when going to be since the irritation would spike up. A few days later I began to see red spots on the palms of my hands. I had to stop due to hand sanitizer making my hands itch I assume from the mix of the medicine. The red spots haven't gone away and my partner (who's a nurse) says they maybe hives. It works great, just be sure to use it on just your hands or feet for a few days to see your body's reaction before putting it under your arms where you're a lot more sensitive...Read More Read Less

At first drysol Helped prevent my sweating but now that I’ve been using it for a while I noticed that I still sweat. Does anybody else have this problem?

Before using Drysol, I used to be so embarrassed by underarm pit stains and excessive sweating. I would really only wear dark colored shirts to hide my sweating and pit stains. I’ve only felt the need to apply Drysol about once a month and it clears up all of my sweating in my underarms. It is a little uncomfortable to use. I usually am itchy and feel a little burning sensation. Nothing unbearable though! This stuff has worked wonders, and I definitely recommend!

I used to sweat out of my armpits terribly. I would be sitting in my car before school at 7am and already have pit stains. I used this once or twice a day for about two months. Two years later, and I rarely sweat out of my armpits anymore. The major side effect I had was irritation. My armpit turned bright red and itched. The kind of itch you couldn’t ignore. Honestly, the side effect was worth it for the results I have now.

I discovered drysol a little over a year ago and it has been life changing. I used to constanly sweat from my armpits to the point it could be 5 degrees outside and I'd be sweaty. It affected school, work and even my free time. I started out with drysol twice a week for two weeks, ever since I put it on once a week and I haven't had to deal with my hyperhydrosis anymore. I will say every once in a while it can be irritating but thats only in my personal experience if you put it on before you need to. Drysol has improved my life a lot, it's the best invention since sliced bread.Read More Read Less

I've had craniofacial hyperhidrosis all of my life, but it's been really bad for the past 18 years. I thought I had tried everything out there (OTC products, glycopyrrolate pills, botox injections, etc.), but nothing really worked and I have been searching for years for a doctor who would perform ETS surgery on me, but haven't found a reputable doctor yet. I switched dermatologists recently and my new doctor was surprised no one had ever prescribed Drysol for me and told me I should give it a try. I am absolutely stunned at how well it is working so far. I've only used it on my scalp two nights in a row (the first night I could only tolerate the burning and itching for two hours, but last night was much better and I was able to keep it on all night) and so far today, my hair is 100% dry even though I have had 3 big sweats today (my face is still sweating a lot because I'm not sure if I can use this on my face too). As dumb as this would sound to anyone who doesn't deal with this issue, I cried tears of joy today when I realized how life changing this is. All the things I have avoided for the past 18 years because of the humiliation of being a sopping wet mess (holidays, vacations, work functions, social functions, promotions to jobs that were too "visible," etc.) are now open to me! My mother and my son both have the same issue and I have been texting with them all morning about it. They are both skeptical because we've all tried so many things that failed miserably, but the proof is in the picture I sent them of my red, sweaty face and DRY hair. Next I'm going to find out if I can use this product on my face as well as my scalp. I am furious with the multitude of doctors (some who claimed to specialize in HH) who continued to sell me on Botox injections that didn't work but put money in THEIR pockets. That's the only reason I can come up with for why this was never prescribed to me before. The Glycopyrrolate pills worked to keep me dry, but I was fire engine red the whole time I used them and had a constant, crippling headache and the worst dry mouth and dry eyes you could imagine. Today is a day I never thought I would see - sweating controlled and no side effects. Miracles do happen!Read More Read Less

First time using for cranial hyperhidrosis. I have very long, thick and curly hair. I dabbed some on top of my scalp, on the sides, around my ears and back and bottom of head. I let it dry in front of a fan then put on a shower cap. I then put my cpap on over top. There was mild itching but nothing I couldn't handle and it gets better as time goes on. Keeping the right mindset. I woke and showered and with this normally exhausting sweating task I was so surprised that I didn't sweat not once. With getting dressed, brushing my hair and teeth and getting situated. After showering changing my body temperature, I usually would sweat so much that it'd take a half a day to dry off. And my hair wouldn't be dry at all just profusely sweating. But now it's a miracle in my book. I can't believe I can go back to normal and live my life and not schedule it around this awful disorder. I highly recommend trying Drysol. And it takes me months to try something because I'm so paranoid about everything. So I am so glad I finally took the initiative and I couldn't be happier. Good luck to the 'sweaters' out there. Try this.Read More Read Less

Drysol, as is,very often irritates my underarms badly. It does work wonderful but the burning sensation is , most of the time, unbearable. However, I found that when used with Benadryl extra strengh cream, the irritation almost doesn't exist. I mix 1/8 teaspoon of Drysol with the same amount of Benadryl cream. The smooth shiny mix is enough for one application for both underarms. No irriation and if there is it's nothing. An application keeps me dry for 1 to 3 weeks. That works for me and no dry skin after ??. Hope this may help.Read More Read Less

I have a story so similar to many of these reviews. I was about 30 when Drysol changed my life. HOWEVER...I fear it has changed my life again. I read today that this drug could be related to breast cancer. I was diagnosed in July 2016¢15 years after using drysol I can¢t help but wonder if this is what caused it. I was negative for the gene so I don¢t know why I developed it. Just makes me wonder. I¢ve always led a very healthy lifestyle by eating well, exercising and maintaining a healthy weight. Be carful with your decisions, yes it was life changing, but was it life changing again with cancer?Read More Read Less

I have hyperhidrosis on my hands, feet, and underarms. I've used for a long time. Way before I used to use a different brand, but didn't work for me. Drysol, however, is very effective. I only use it on my hands though, and it helps. Usually, my hands sweat all the time. Especially because I have anxiety. Drysol really helps to reduce the sweat. Not completely, but that's okay. If I'm having really bad anxiety my hands will still sweat, but not as much as it would without Drysol.

I was so embarrassed of my underarm sweating problems for soooo long. It never smelled, but I always wore black/white or tank tops with cardigans to avoid any visible wet marks. I don't know why it took me so long but I finally reached out to my primary and she prescribed this. As with others, the first application did sting. Since then, I notice that it only stings if I put on too much or right after shaving (a little goes a long way). This is a serious life changer (I'm wearing a grey shirt right now!) I will admit that when I do sweat (i.e. when its really hot) it smells pretty gnarly. I apply every 3 nights and that usually does the trick. Highly recommend!! Read More Read Less

I think the trick with drysol for me has been to not apply it right after shaving. It's an incredible product. No deodorant has worked even remotely like this product.

I have just started using this product and it has helped my sweating dramatically. I don't know if I'm having a allergic reaction to it but when I apply it, it burns so badly. It burns, stings, itches, and I have a rash. The area around my arm pit is bright red and splotchy, it also is highly itchy and stings/burns very bad. It is more pain than discomfort. I have never experienced anything like this ever, it also makes my underarm skin very tight, and you can see what looks like cuts in my skin where its being pulled in.Read More Read Less
