Very quick and effective in treating my low iron. Couldn't be happier. In four months my ferritin count went from 16 to 32 and I am now only taking one every other day. Last year I took liquid iron and in 12 months my count went from 8 to 16 (should have had it checked sooner than 12 months). Which sucked. This was much quicker and effective. I took 2 pills per day. I'm now taking one every other ...

I was diagnosed with Pernicious anemia 2 months ago after I noticed major hairloss, dibilitating exhaustion, beau's lines in my nails, and slow wound healing. I started taking Feramax along with sublingual B12 as recommended by my family doctor. In the first month I've had an upset stomach usually every morning. I have been taken this Iron for years every day. I have the impression that it is effective but create dépendances. In case I miss one day, I have body reaction like I have stopped for months- more anemia symptoms in few hours. Extra analysis are required in my opinion. But while taking no issue.

I feel at times my energy has not really significantly improved. I have soft stool almost every day and have noticed my appetite decreased significantly and I am disinterested in food. I have noticed that I lost 10 pounds since I started with Feramax. I will consult with my doctor next month if I should continue on this medication as not 100 percent convinced it is right for me. I was also upset to know that my insurance plan would not cover the costs of this medication. Read More Read Less

I was provided with a sample packet from my physician to try. the first time I took Fermaz 150 I had shortness of breath and fast heart rate. However, I did not blame it on the iron pill, instead caffeine consumption for the day. However, now taking it a 2nd time, I have had the same effect and will not be taking it again. Not sure if the effect is due to the dosage amount or the ingredients.

This is the easiest iron pill i have taken,it gives me no constipation and does not make me have a upset stomach like all the other iron pills i have taken. ive taken this for over 3 months and i still get ice craving everyday. when i have taken other iron supplements like euro i felt sick taking it but my craving for diminished in about a week..so i dont know whats that about.
