Works extremely well and I have had no side effects (other than blue / green urine). Not diagnosed with IC but have all of the symptoms. Prior to getting Rx I was taking advil which helped with pain, but not frequency, urgency, bloating, etc. Now all symptoms are taken care of. Take 2 or 3 a day depending on my diet. Have been taking for four months now with no problems.

I was prescribed uribel for muscle spasms and urgency after a long last urethral infection--while I think it did what it was supposed to do, the side effects were so horrible that I had to discontinue taking it. It gave me a migraine that lasted for two days and I was unable to eat anything without vomiting almost immediately. A couple of days later once it was out of my system I tried taking it ...

7 days in…4x a day. My urine is blue, the pain in my bladder area/groin has lessened. I have HBP and saw no increase there.

Took this for a uti while awaiting lab results w/specific meds for prescription. Diarrhea for starters, followed by back muscle pain and spasms and difficulty breathing. Stomach pain. Weird, as I took this med 4 years ago w/no issue but now I am struggling to catch my breath. Never again!

I was diagnosis with Chronic IC. After taking Uribel orally I felt as if I got my life back. The pain and urgency is manageable now. My urine turned blue and it took a couple of days for the pain to subside. I did have difficulty breathing taking the medicine at first. I took 118 mg 4x a day for 3 month with Pelvic Floor Therapy.

Only thing beside DMSO treatments that really works. My insurance doesn’t cover it so I use coupons from Good RX. Uribel has saved my life and sanity.

This medication causes extreme dizziness/light headedness. I can't tell if it helps, or just distracts me with side effects. I will only take this at bed time so that I can maybe sleep through the dizziness. If you have IC, and symptoms are destroying your life, it's worth a try. With IC life is usually already unbearable.

I have been taking one a day for over a year. I get frequent uti' and if I forget to take the Uriel for a couple of days I get an infection. My only complaint is that it is expensive. Thank goodness I can afford it because it is the best thing I have found.

I deal with urinary pain without the actual infection...I'm still figuring it out. But all azo-related products make me throw up. Also, unlike the meds with azo dye, uribel is safe for long-term use and I absolutely have to have it to survive right now. Hopefully I'll find a doctor with a solution to my pain, but until then, this has been my savior so I can go to work and still function beyond the pain. No side effects that I've noticed, except turning my urine blue. I wish it was a bit more affordable.Read More Read Less

I had a UTI and had been given a sample of this to take until I got my prescription filled. I took it while in the parking lot so I could drive to the pharmacy, within 10 min of taking it my limbs started to go numb, I don't remember half of the drive and finally was able to park the car. I had been on the phone with my boyfriend at the time and he had to call 911 I felt paralyzed, couldn't speak, he told me I was confused on the phone and said I didn't know where I was. I had a panic attack. Pretty much every side effect you can possible have with this I had. I was found by officers and transported to the ER by the fire department. I will never take this again. The ER nurse threw out all the samples my doctor gave me.Read More Read Less

I have IC, and Uribel works great for me other than after taking the 3rd pill it adds to the drying out effect which I already experience from my daily antihistamine and diuretic, so I usually stop taking it after my second 2 pill. Occasionally I get nose bleeds from being too dry, but to help combat this unwanted side effect my ENT prescribed using a small dot of Bacitracin ointment(not Neosporin)in each nostril along with a little Vaseline. Also using lotion coated kleenex helps. Doing these few things have really helped lessen my nose bleeds considerably especially during the Winter months from when I'm even more dried out from the cold weather. Also, Uribel makes me a little sleepy sometimes, but not having the pain is well worth the two side effects! Presently my IC isn't severe as it was right after my Hysterectomy yrs ago which caused it. I take Uribel a few times a month plus I get bladder instills once a week for 6 wks straight every 1-2 yrs with Heparin and Solu-Medrol. Since my insurance no longer covers Uribel and I don't need it as often, I only buy 30 pills at a time for about $70.00 at CVS, and they use a coupon. Not sure if it's a CVS or Uribel Co. coupon, but I'll take it! Lol Also, the antihistamine I take every day helps with the histamine effect in my bladder and lessens my IC pain. I buy the double pack OTC Loratadine 10 mg gen. tab(plain Claritin) at WalMart to save even more. Hope this review helps! Blessings:)Read More Read Less

I am a 24 year old female with no history of heart problems. Took uribel as part of a "pad test" for my urologist to determine my level of leaking associated with stress incontinence since it turns urine blue/blue-green. Thirty minutes after my second dose I became very dizzy, my throat felt like t was beginning to close, I was tachycardic (pulse got to the 140s), and my blood pressure and temperature shot up. I called 911 and drank three additional pint glasses of water as I waited for the ambulance. Went to the ER and was given allergy medications initially, along with a steady stream of fluids through an IV for nearly two days. Discharged with heart rate still slightly elevated, but it is slowly decreasing back to normal. Unsure of what ingredient I reacted to, but I will not be using this medication again.Read More Read Less

Tried it for two days for frequent urination/pelvic pain. Seemed to help, but the side effects of dry mouth (tolerable) and rapid pulse (112 bpm, not tolerable) caused me to give it up. Too bad, because I think the drug had promise in treating my condition.

Works wonderful for pain, urgency and spasms! I am a type one diabetic. The only side effect is my blood sugars are very low. So you need to monitor your insulin doses. Not a bad side effect! I believe one of the ingredients slow the emptying of the gut .
