After a pre-op blood draw, my doctor prescribed Irospan 24/6 due to iron deficiency anemia- my hemoglobin was at 7.9 and I cannot have surgery until my levels are around 10 at the lowest. So far, in my journey with anemia, I've had 3 rounds of Venofer infusions, which I'm unsure of their effectiveness. I've also Ben given 325mg ferrous sulfate which was way too harsh on my digestive system. So far this has been the best iron supplement I've taken- no stomach upset, no constipation, etc I'll be anxious to see how my levels look after this is done - I've got 3 days of the succinc acid tabs left!Read More Read Less
