Using Emoquette for birth control has really worked for me. The first time I let my boyfriend ejaculate inside of me without a spermicide condom was a bit scary, but after having a negative result with a urine pregnancy test and having my period on the week of the inactive pills made me feel more confident about trusting the pills. Sometimes I forget to take the pill and end up taking it 3 hours a...

The pharmacy switched me from Reclipsen to Emoquette without my or my Doctor's notification or approval. After the first 2 weeks on Emoquette I had chest pains, dizziness, nausea. It got so bad I went to the E.R. thinking I was having a heart attack. The drug also gives me headaches. It seems some packets are 'ok', the side effects are milder. The current pack I am on wears me out with the nausea,...

Worst birth control ever. I told the doctor i wanted to go on Birth control for my cystic acne and she prescribed emoquette. Immediately after starting the pill i broke out worse than I ever have in my life and my acne was horribly red and painful. I gave it a few months to see if I just needed to adjust, but my acne only got worse. I definitely do not recommend

I had been taking Reclipsen for 3 years, before I was randomly given Emoquette. In theory they both achieve the main goal of a birth control, however they are definitely not the same drug. I did not experience any side affects during my time on Reclipsen. I'm not sure why I was given Emoquette, but it caused acne (I've never broken out in my life), nausea, and terrible abdominal pains during menstruation. Different bodies probably react differently to this medication, however I will not be taking it again. Read More Read Less

This medication was the cause of a bilateral pulmonary embolism. I had only been taking it for a short time and ended up having blood clots in both of my lungs almost killing me. I went through very thorough testing to ensure I didn't have any type of blood clotting condition, and it was determined that I didn't. The cause of the clots was this brand of birth control.

I switched to this pill after trail and error of other pills because my original bc was recalled. I was on Gildess Fe 1/20 and it was working wonders for my acne, moods, and weight control. This pill cleaned up my hormonal acne after a few months, but I still have frequent breakouts. I also have noticed serious mood swings which included lack of sex drive, anxious feeling and depression. I am hoping it does not last and will just be a phase.

When i first got the pill it was for my period but than i began having sex. Later on down the road we had a condom break and the period pill came in handy and worked really good i had no problem i even took a day after pill only because the day after the condom broke i would have been on the sugar pills. I no longer use condoms and i dont have sex often so when i do the pill always comes in clutch. This pill is definitely one you would need if you were going to need it for sex

This is the WORST birth control I have ever used. I am a 20 year old woman and i went on it for acne. As soon as I got on it I started experiencing abdominal pain, HUGE cystic bumps, hot flashes, and I went up a cup size.I really really dislike this bc. I'm on my third week and once I'm done with this pack I'm switching to ortho tri cyclen which I used to be on when I was 17.

I switched to this bc because of hair loss. I was tested for everything and all tests were normal. I suggested switching pills to my pc to a bc pill with a lower androgen index in hopes it would help. I'm very satisfied with this pill. I have zero side effects with it in fact I no longer have sore brreasts like I did on the previous pill I was on. I also have noticed less hair shed. I am very pleased with this medication!

I had huge headaches, lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, fatigue, and extreme mood swings while on this pill. I took it for five months, thinking it would get better but it didn't. I don't recommend this pill.

I'm on my 9th pack/month of Emoquette. This is my first pill and first form of BC. I still use condoms with my boyfriend because I really don't want a baby, but my withdrawal bleed comes like clockwork on my 5th iron pill. Nothing too crazy, nothing heavier than I had before BC. My cramps are worse, but tolerable on the second day, along with the heaviest bleeding. No acne, no weight gain. I did notice more stretch marks under my arms, but that's superficial and may not be BCs fault. My appetite is stronger, but I also drink about 3x more water to fill me up. I definitely cry more, but I'm not a lunatic or anything. It's all in all very manageable for me. Read More Read Less

I have tried SO many birth controls, from like 30 diff pills, to the Implanon (worst choice of my life), the patch, the depo shot... You name it. This is the ONLY birth control that hasn't left me vomiting every day, gaining copious amounts of weight, with migraine or acting like a hormone charged maniac. Emoquette is the only one that I haven't had any symptoms with. I would definitely recommend this to women who've tried many options and haven't found the right one yet.

Emoquette caused terrible abdominal pain for me. I originally was on Desogen, then Apri, and lastly Emoquette. After taking Emoquette, I experienced horrible abdominal pain and could barely sit without feeling pain. After a few months of taking it in hopes it would get better, I stopped. Emoquette and Desogen are not the same! I do not recommend this pill.

I was recently placed on Emoquette after experiencing break-through bleeding with other birth control. I switched from lutera to ortho tri- to vestura. Emoquette is the fourth type of birth control I have been prescribed. I started the pack about a week and a half ago, and have been experiencing pretty intense acne. I'm not normally the time to have skin issues; however, since being placed on this medicine my skin has flared up. This is the only side effect I have noticed thus far. I've been reading a lot about weight gain and breast tenderness, and so far I've not experienced any of these effects. I hope that my skin will eventually clear up with consistent use of this medication. Read More Read Less

This birthcontrol was not for me. I believe it changed my mood. I took it for three months before changing. I am still trying to find a birthcontrol right for me.

I switched from Aviane to emoquette in order to better control my moods, and it has done the complete opposite. I have felt extremely nauseous and have even thrown up multiple times. By breasts are extremely tender and I have gone up a full cup size in bras. My mood swings are only getting worse and it has made me feel very depressed and anxious. I will be switching off of this medicine immediately.

Ok I'd like to start out by stating that each experience on this BC pill will differ because not all women have the same hormone levels. Our bodies will react differently because of these differences, so my experience could differ from someone else's. Or be shared just the same, but it's important to remember when thinking about taking this BC. My experience was very unsatisfactory. It was comical how much my appetite skyrocketed. I've been completely fine the past few years not on BC as far as eating goes, but within the first week I noticed food was predominantly on my mind. I could eat, but then I'd be looking for the next thing. It was really bizarre, because I've never had an appetite like that. This has been going on for a whole month now, and I constantly feel bloated and hungry. It's an odd combination, and truly unenjoyable. I'm thinking I might need to try a different BC, considering emoquettes side effects on me. But this is my scathing review of it, hopefully your body will react differently to it than mine has.Read More Read Less

First of all BIRTH CONTROL DOES NOT MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT!!! It just doesn't. I know it's easy to say that you've been eating the same as normal but I promise you that you haven't been if you are gaining a crazy amount of weight in a short period of time...there is something else going on. Generally I hate bc. It makes me depressed and anxious and nauseous and angry and all the hormonal stuff. So far I have been pretty satisfied with this bc. I had some weird leg cramps the first couple days I was on it and I find myself a bit more fatigued but otherwise I've had no crazy side effects. I am a little more emotional but not a raving lunatic. And I have not lost or gained a single pound since starting it.Read More Read Less

I am almost finished with my first pack and I am fairly satisfied. I have never taken bc before. In the first week, I felt achy all over. I had headaches accompanied by nausea. I also feel like I was a little more emotional than normal (which is saying something- I've always been moody). My face acne has gotten worse, but my doctor said that everything will get flushed out. I can take a few weeks of bad acne knowing that it will go away completely (hopefully). Other than that I haven't had any other problems.Read More Read Less

This birth control is giving me serious headaches and I gained 12 lbs in the three weeks I've been on it even though I only eat organic vegetables, nuts, lean meats, etc., and no sugar, carbs, whole eggs, or anything with high fat content. My diet contains absolutely NOTHING that would cause me to gain weight and this is the most weight I've ever gained, and the quickest. I've always had a fast metabolism and have never been past 110 until now. I used to eat cookies and cakes and brownies and basically really-bad-for-you foods all day and not gain a pound. I weighed 108 all the way up until I started birth control, and previously I was on the Junol FE, which I ended up having a reaction to because of the progesterone and brought my weight up 10 lbs over the course of three months. Because of that I started eating healthier and started exercising more, but my weight is still increasing and fluctuates during my placebo weeks. The headaches are getting worse and gaining this much weight in less than a month is ridiculous. BC in general has been doing a good job at keeping me miserable and I'm beginning to wonder if it's even worth all this hassle. I am going to take Emoquette for another cycle and see if anything changes, but if not I am switching.Read More Read Less
