The bottle was very small and expensive. The design of the bottle tip was such that the medication would drip down the side of the bottle after application, wasting a small amount each time. Other eye drops I used had better tip design.

Rigid bottle, with viscous fluid that barely lasts for three weeks. It is not a covered medication and unless you are very careful with your administration, you will be paying for another bottle before your prescribed time of use is over.

I have a greenish sticky discharge around my eyes after each time using ilevro. When I wake up, my eyes are literally stuck shut and I have to use a warm washcloth to break up the gunk so I can open my eyes. I have been checked for infection, none present. I am postop cataract surgery and am worried about the constant wiping of my eyes to clean them. This med only came to the U.S. 5 months ago in May of 2023. Prior to that, it was in New Zealand since 2015. It's a fairly new medication and I don't want to be another one that it gets tried out on. I hate it and wish there was something else to use. I have let my doctor know what I am experiencing but no change to something else. I would not recommend it to anyone.Read More Read Less

Administration of the drug into the eye is difficult.I am a retired nurse so I know how and where to place eye drops, but between the super viscous eye drops and the awkward bottle, your never really sure how much your using. The medication is very expensive, requiring special approval from the insurance. The doctors office staff swears there is enough if used properly, but running out is a reality because of the poor design of the bottle.Required by the physician, so more has to be purchased. Please fix the design of the bottle or give a little more medication to complete a treatment cycle.Read More Read Less

I’m a nurse of 52 years the bottle is terrible
There should be 30 drops in the bottle there isn’t!
I know how to instill eye drops maybe “quality assurance “ should check this out?
It’s not an age thing either!

One drop in morning and evening for one month in each eye for Cataract/LASIK. Seems to do the job. No interactions except temporary blurring. Bottle is impossible to deal with.

I took .3% drops once a day for 7 days, and due to irritation from the antibiotic, 2 drops a day for 7 days. I had a sample bottle and ran out at day 11. I think a bottle would last for 1 drop a day for two weeks. I had to get a RX for the other eye. It is pricey. My insurance did give me a special authorization and covered it. I was allergic to the steroid commonly prescribed. I had no pain after day one of surgery after taking Tylenol the first day, as prescribed.

Ilevro was prescribed for my cataract surgery. A $260.78 capital WOW but came with a manufacturer's coupon that got it down to $42.65 at Walmart. The $46.65 does not count on my Humana deductible but OK with that. Next to impossible for one to use it on yourself. Wife even had a little problem with stiff bottle and thick mixture. I had LenSx laser cataract surgery with a torx lens. No problems, no pain. $1652 extra per eye outside Medicare . Not sure what the Ilevro is doing. Would like to say, will not use it on other eye and report back but not to save $46.65 . My Dr has me with a sheet to use it 28 days. Since the instructions say 14 days, I may just save the bottle for the next eye. However, it's so thick, cannot tell how much is left in it.. I have the 3mL large one? HARead More Read Less

In 4 weeks of use since my cataracts surgery the eyes hurt badly and are very dry. Need to use artificial tears to aliviate the dryness. A lots of pain. Not helpful. Dr doesn't want to stop it. I don't think this med works. Will not recommended.

This has to be the most poorly designed dropper. there is only enough medicine in there for 25 days, so you'd better be careful when using it.

I agree the bottle is small, difficult to self instill one drop. could not feel or tell if it actually got in the eye. It appeared thick and did drip after using. Yes it is expensive & insurance company refused to refill the prescription as one bottle was to last a month. The medication is very effective in controlling the pain & irritation after surgery but self administering is difficult when you can not see what you are doing.
