I was given Promaxin through a port after a knee replacement in MD. My surgeon did not think I needed it, but the Infec. Dis. doctor did. I was too out of it to have any say or I would not have taken it. They inserted a port through my arm to my blood vessels .... after 2 days I broke out in giant hives. My doctor immediately stopped the medication and had the port removed. I obviously was allergic to the medication, and I was fine afterward without it.

Short Shelf Life and constant need for flow made this a very time sensitive product. 6 weeks treatment had miraculous effect.
