Also switched over after insurance wouldn't cover suboxone. Taste is better for sure. The 5.7 mg is equal to 8mg suboxone. Although it's working fine, I also feel it is shorter acting than suboxone. FYI though for the people that do not like it or get sick, my Dr informed me that your insurance is required to cover the suboxone if once you've tried the new drug and it doesn't work for you. I was initially on Suboxone and then switched to zubsolv because my insurance wouldn't cover the Suboxone. Ever since I had been on zubsolv I had a lot of side effects including severe muscle and joint pain especially in my hands and worse in my legs and knees and back. I could barely get out of bed in the morning and was so sore and stiff that I felt like I was 90 years old. I had trouble sleepin...

The doctor decided to put me on Suboxone and I found that it worked wonderful but then the new product came out call Zubsolv. So he wanted me to try that product because of a better taste other than the Suboxone but I found out I did not like that medicine at all. Zubsolv made my body ache a lot more it did not stop my pain at all like the Suboxone would when I only have to take one Suboxone a day. I found myself taking two to three of those tablets 3 times a day. And I will still not feeling the effect of the medicine so I decided to go back on Suboxone and since I've been back on Suboxone I felt better than I felt in the last two weeks. I would not recommend Zubsolv to anyone it did not do anything at all to stop my chronic pain. Read More Read Less

this pills have given me my life back. after few days of use I can see and feel HUGE change in my attitude, im not tired I got lot more energy also my mental state is totally different. I went from depressive negativity into happy positivity. I went from being grumpy and tired of living to someone whose eyes just got wide opened and who has just spread his wings. i highly recommend switching or starting with this medicine to treat your opioid addiction.

I was a heroin addict for 4 years. Went to jail and cleaned up my act. 4 months later i started using again, not everyday but as often as i had money. It helps curb the cravings and gives me confidence in my sobriety. Slso tastes way better than suboxone by a million percent. I highly recommend anyone who is addicted or trying to stay clean to ask about this medication. It has literally saved my life.

Prefer Suboxone, but my health insurance no longer covers it. I find Zubsolv to be equally effective, however, the tablets are not as easy to use as the strips.

I have found this drug makes me feel like I have come off drugs completely. Meaning that I take them in the morning and then I don't think about them again. My eyes are open wider and I feel that the rate of abuse for Zubsolv is always going to be low. Suboxone worked when it had to and now we've found the new best thing in Zubsolv!!! Can't say enough good things! If you are looking to get off drugs don't even use Suboxone go straight for Zubsolv. It lasts all day!

Was on suboxone twice and relapsed. Hated taking suboxone and it didn't seem to help me. This 3rd time and feeling much more confident than ever that it will be my last I was put on zubsolv and I'm very thankful as some combination of the zubsolv /Dr / counseling / family saved my life no doubt.Taking 1/2 of a 5.7 mg pill in the AM and the other half in the PM and feeling great and ready to decrease again and can't really say I ever felt that way on suboxone. Just my own personal experience.

I thought, Subzolv was not going to work for me after a week of being on it. With a few tips from my Dr. I learned, how to use it correctly, and get the most benefit from the Subzolv. I have friends on Subzolv, who complained about the same things. Once I shared with them, as to what my Dr gave me. They were much happier. So many users of this medication, have no idea how ineffective they have caused it to be! You must place it under your tongue. Preferably close to the center. Here's the biggest mistake people make. You CAN'T TALK while the tablet dissolves!you should do anything! Until that tab, is completely melted. Also, you should NOT eat or drink anything, for a minimum of 15 minutes. You can still taste it under your tongue. That means it's still working. Subzolv, has a much higher bioavailability than suboxone. That's why the dosage is different. I hope this helps answer some questions.Read More Read Less

I had trouble sleeping at night and was always hot and sweaty. Also the equivalent dose did not work. I was initially on 4mg Suboxone and went to 2.9mg zubsolv and twice a day and had to go up to 5.7 in the am and 8.6 at night. That made all the side effects way worse. This drug was horrible for me. Luckily I have been put back on Suboxone with a prior authorization to my insurance. After one dose beef BK on Suboxone with the equivalent dose I feel so much better and actually need less of the sub. I am prescribed 2 1/2 8mg strips a day and only need 1 1/2 to 2 strips a day. And will be tapering down shortly to 1 strip day. I can't believe the difference. I would not recommend zubsolv, by if it works better for some then it works better for some. I just so greatful to be back on Suboxone and feel so much better and can live my life. Also I had relapsed twice while on subs and none on Suboxone.Read More Read Less

I switched from Suboxone to Zubsolv because my insurance company will only pay for zubsolv. I was told by both the doctor and pharmacist that the conversion from 2 mg of Suboxone to 1.4 of Zubsolv was clinically the same thing. I used to take 2mg of Suboxone twice daily. Upon starting 1.4 mg of Zubsolv twice daily, my pain levels went through the roof. After about a month, I thought I was dying. The doctor increased the dosage to 2mg of Zubsolv and after 2 days I am starting to feel better. But I have to cut the Zubsolv in half with a pill cutter. Anyway, Suboxone was literally a miracle for me. So far, Zubsolv has been nothing but a bother. Hopefully at this new dosage, I will start to feel halfway human again. Read More Read Less

I was just switched from Suboxone films 8mg/day to Zubsolv tablet/5.7 mg/day. So far I feel like I haven't had any medication in my system. My stomach has been very upset and it feels like withdrawal cramps. I have a savings supply of Suboxone at 1-2mg/ piece of film. I tried to take a piece and found immediately that I felt better. Today is my 2nd day of Zubsolv and I'm hoping that I will adjust and get used to Zubsolv. If not I will be submitting a request that my insurance pay for Suboxone.Read More Read Less

I just started the recovery process for opioid addiction four days ago. I was initially prescribed Suboxene 8mg x 2 daily. I too have UHC and they refused to pay for it. I had to buy a few days of Suboxene out of pocket because thats all I could get while waiting for the pharmacy to order Subsolve. Although Suboxene initially brought me out of withdrawal, by the third day I still felt badly. Still a drugged feeling. My doctor said to not swallow the spit because the bupe has low bioavalability, and the noloxone has a higher stomach bioavalability. So this would cause the suboxene to not work. Unfortunately the Suboxene is very bitter and chemical tasting. So it caused me to salavate badly and I had no choice but to swallow my saliva. Therefore I continued to feel badly, obviously still in a state of withdraw. Suboxene was causing bad stomach cramps as well. My mew script came in for Subsolve fortunately. They have a coupon on their site that makes them free after insurance pays, so I would suggest to go get it. My dose changed from 8mg x 2 to 5.7mg x 3. With the Subsolve it is much easier to take. It doesnt taste badly at all and I was able to follow the instructions to not swallow the spit. I waited to spit until my saliva did not taste like mint any longer, so I know the bupe was fully administered. It brought me back to normal almost immediately and the cramps also faded within 30 minutes. The Subsolve does not make me feel drugged at all. I feel normal. Suboxene also caused really bad insomnia, that or it did nothing for withdrawal insomnia. Either way I could not sleep on Suboxene and after I took my first Subsolve i took a two hour nap and actually slept. Although I have not had much experience with Suboxene, the Subsolve does seem to make me feel much better and it is easier for me to take and does not taste like chemically dipped oranges.Read More Read Less

Zubsolv is absolutely terrible! I wish my health insurance would've allowed me to stay on suboxone like I have been for the last 3 years. Unfortunately United healthcare will only cover zubsolv. Suboxone was literally a life saver. It gave me the opportunity to live a happy and productive life with my kids. I have been on Zubsolv now for 2 weeks and have been sick since the first day. Suboxone never made me nauseas or gave me migraines. Suboxone took away nearly all withdrawal symptoms and allowed me to function normally like I did before getting on opiates in the first place. Since beginning Zubsolv I have felt the bioavailability is not as good as Suboxone sublingual film. It seems like I'm not absorbing it. After each dose of Zubsolv I still have feelings of withdrawal. Plus I've been having horrible headaches, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness. I wouldn't ever recommend Zubsolv over Suboxone to anyone. Read More Read Less

I've been on zubsolv for almost a year now. & I think its way better than sub. To me it last longer. Taste better. & gives me a bit of a rush unlike sub. Sub made me so freaking tired I hated it. The only problem with zub is that my pharmacy isn't well educated on it & its always a Hassel getting it in stock. My insurance paid for it. But now I have none so I use the 225$ off coupon.

I switched due to insurance. Was on Sub8 2x a day. Within 6 months went to one a day. New ins. Wont pay and it took 20 days for the Zub to be approved etc. Luckily I had plenty of extra sub. Otherwise I would of had to use......I dont like the taste or the way it fills my mouth and mixes with saliva makes my tongue numb. I end up swollowing it and that gives me a stomach ache. Does not help with management of pain very much. So if you truly have pain, there is not much you can do if taking this.Read More Read Less

I was recently switched to Zubsolv because my insurance stopped covering name brand Suboxone films and then the generic Suboxone tablets. I hate the minty taste and i've been depressed since switching last week. I have been having trouble sleeping and for the first time in years i'm experiencing withdrawls again.

I switched from subs to zubs about three weeks ago. I went from a 3gr a day IV heroin habit to 32mgs of subs and then tapered off to nothing on my own in 45 days or so. Yes I was hurtin bad the entire time but I just wanted off everything. Don't do that btw. Listen to your doctor because in the end I was off everything for 7 days went bought some dope and woke up in an ambulance after literally dying....or that's what i was told by the paramedics anyways. Anyways after that I went back to the doctor and went back on subs....or at least I wanted subs but was given zubs. 5.7. Twice a day. Well I'm all honesty I only take one per day but that's through sheer willpower. These do NOT last as long. I think in there rush to increase bioavailability they missed the fact that anything that reaches peak saturation levels faster also has a similarly steep decline also. In other words the faster it hits you the faster it goes away. I have seen studies that quantify effective levels in comparison with suboxone but now that I think about it I haven't seen any that quantify the half life of zubs. My own annecdotal experience is that it definitely does not last as long for me. Also I get the over medicated thing that ppl are talking about. I feel that a little also. It also makes perfect sense as it's made to absorb faster. I imagine that it's something to do with the effect of menthol and localized vasodilation but that is a guess. Either way I give it a thumbs down. Why mess with something that ain't broke. Is there a shortage of bupe or something that I don't know about? Otherwise it's still the EXACT same amount of it in your blood so you are not taking any more or less then if you take an 8mg strip. Odd though when you think about it. They say it's equivalent because of greater bioavailability but the old tabs were less bioavailability then the strips are but they didn't tell us then that you should do like 6mg strips coming from 8mg tabs. Been on Sub for 4 years and effective 7/1/14 my insurance stopped covering it, hence the switch. Zub tastes WAY better, dissolves WAY faster and gets into my bloodstream really quickly. I don't understand what everyone is complaining about. I was on 16mg Sub and now 10mg of Zub and can tell NO difference. The only thing that's annoying is that it's hard to open the package.
