I'm going to give it to your straight! Due to this being a one day treatment, the medicine is MUCH stronger than the three-seven day creams. Therefore, you will experience some major burning sensation, mild itching and some serious leakage. I inserted the oval four hours ago and i'm experience mild burning and the leakage is something serious, so ensure you're wearing some old panties and conforma...

3 weeks ago I purchased the Monistat 1 Day due for symptoms of a yeast infection. I inserted the medicine and used the external cream and decided to take a nap. When I woke up, my insides were on fire. I couldn’t close my legs; there was an intense burning sensation when I urinated. It was very difficult to wash; mild soap and water caused my genitals to burn. I made an emergency called my physici...

I don’t even know what to say, other than I am in pain. I haven’t had a yeast infection in years. So today I thought I’m feeling discomfort. Let me grab the Monistat. I saw the one a day I got excited because I thought this was going to be simple. Took it at 8:30 went to bed by 9 and got up at 11:30 in extreme itchiness and burning sensation. I wasn’t sure what to do so I used cool water to wash some of the product from the outside and use the itching cream in hopes that it will help subside the discomfort. I do not recommend this product, I would suggest consulting your physician for a day pill. Read More Read Less

I’ve decided to take this before a full day of work thinking it’s better to do it sooner so it heals. It’s been itching ALL day. I took it at 8 am and it’s 5pm now and I can’t wait to get home and getting a cooling shower. Working having it on fire is the worst thing ever ?? it better work for all the suffering I’ve had. Some of those comments made me laugh through the pain. I hope everyone is ok lol

After inserting maybe 5 mins later a strong burning sensation came to my vagina so strong I called my best friend who is a nurse to see if I needed to go to the ER. After another 10 mins intense itching started more intense than the actual problem. The leakage is absolutely crazy it has been pouring out of me. Last but not least my vulva, labia , and everything else had swelled and become very sensitive to touch (when wiping after bathroom run). It is red and very sore at the opening of my vaginal canal. My nurse friend informed me the 1 day is the worse one to get, 7 day being the best. I would not recommend only had I seen these comments first I wouldn’t have got this. Read More Read Less

OH MY GOD thank you all for these reviews, scrolling through these had me dying and was the main thing helping me through the literal fire burning inside of my cooch. I was going to get monistat 3 and at the last minute opted for this one thinking how bad could it be...put the devil's egg in around 5:30pm this evening and felt very mild burning/itching at first thinking that was as bad as it was going to get. Went to grab dinner with my sister an hour or 2 later and it just kept getting worse until I was so unbelievably itchy to where I was literally squirming in my seat to try and get some relief. the itching gave way to burning from the fiery pits of hell, which had me questioning everything and is when I stumbled upon this thread. The good news is it's now after 10pm and the discomfort has pretty much entirely gone away - the horrific part of the whole ordeal lasted probably 2 hours for me in total. "mild increase in vaginal itching or burning" is actually insane and I'm shocked this stuff is still sold. also a couple people have said this but I think the cream makes everything worse. It sounds like some of you ladies had it way worse than me but still very much NOT an enjoyable experience <3Read More Read Less

DO NOT USE! Unbelievable that this medication is still on the market! I used it once years ago after my physician prescribed it! It burned me so badly and left scarring on my vaginal skin! Just look at all the negative reviews.I was in my early thirties when this happened to me. I reported it but of course “Big Pharma” never had to take it off the market and years later MANY women are still red flagging the terrible side effects and being told its “rare” Shocking! There are many alternative meds on the market that are highly effective and have no side effects such as Canestan cream. Read More Read Less

HOLY Mary, mother of our sweet savior, I pray to you for intercession please. What do you need? My right leg? My left eyeball? Let me just give you ALL my lady bits, so I never have to live in this burning HELL of misery ever again! I don’t even practice, but I would max every single one of my credit cards to get rid of this burning pain RIGHT NOW! It’s not fair. I literally just had prolapse surgery and was cleared to do all the things again. I’ve been mostly healing, but this ANTI-MIRACLE substance is doing a 180 on the double. Ya girl would wait another six weeks if it meant this hellfire would be quenched with arctic chill tonight. Gawd I hope it works. I get that those malevolent squatters that have taken up residence in my cooch find this too hot to handle… but SO do I!!!!! I took at 7:30pm. It’s now 10pm. If you try this, may the odds be ever in your favor.Read More Read Less

Take this product off the shelves!!!do not use this. I’ve never experienced such agonizing discomfort. I am certain this was approved by a bunch of men and what I would give to have them experience this themselves. Smh this is just wrong.

This was awful. I just had the worse experience with this product. I was fine for an hour and a half, all the sudden it started stinging and itching like crazy. I got up to pee and it felt like my insides and all my bits were on FIRE. I kid you not, one of the WORST pains I have ever felt. Stinging, Burning, oh and then I had to flush it out, which the WATER DID NOT MAKE IT FEEL ANY BETTER. Intense burning almost went on for 45 minutes. I was howling in the bathroom. Now I am sitting on a bag of ice wrapped in a cloth... DO NOT TAKE THIS PRODUCT.Read More Read Less

I'm reading these comments and feeling a little relieved that my symptoms may be expected with 1 day treatment. I had INTENSE burning and itching and was extremely uncomfortable the day I used the 1 day treatment following using the medicine. It's now the 3rd day since I used the 1 day treatment and it came with a little tube of cream to use on vulva for 7 days which I've been using. I'm still having burning of my vulva and I'm significantly more uncomfortable now than I was before I used the product. Is that 2% micanozole cream that comes with the 1 day Monistat treatment supposed to still cause burning and itching too? Because it says it's to help with pain and burning but it has not helped at all, if anything as I said I'm way more uncomfortable now than before treatment. On day 3. The pain is constant not just when I use the cream and it's so bad I have been avoiding urinating since using this treatment unless I can't stand it anymore because peeing makes the pain and burning SEVERE, so bad I'm whimpering and tears come to my eyes when I pee. And it takes 30 minutes for the burning to subside back to the moderate burning that's constant. Is this normal? Google says to see a doctor after a week of treatment if you're not better but I'm on day 3 since beginning treatment and I'm so uncomfortable 24/7 I don't know if I can stand it for 4 more days. Is this normal or am I reacting more sensitively than most people? Read More Read Less

Oh my lawd!!! I will be the first to say I have done some pretty stu**d things in my life BUT THIS ohhhhhhh this takes the cake, the whole darn bakery and the neighboring businesses along with it. I do not know what sins I could have committed to deserve such agony. Similar to everyone else made the executive decision that I did not want this YI ruining my vacation (yup you read it right I am on vacation) so I skipped on over to the nearest pharmacy and purchased the fire ball from hell (in egg version) I inserted it at about 9:30pm and was woke up at 2am by what felt like my cooter had been placed on a grill and set on fire to provide a medium well finish. I tried to fall asleep but that was to no avail, OBVIOUSLY! Thanking my lucky stars I found this thread. Now I am sitting in the tub contemplating my life’s choices, laughing like a crazy person at 2:30am. I have learned my lesson and I repent for any wrong doing I’ve done. Now, not ruining my vacation is the last of my worries! I just want the fire from hell to stop. I am contemplating going to the ER and requesting, DEMANDING they sedate me for the next 3-5 business days! Read More Read Less

I was given Augmentin for a sinus infection and from experience informed my doctor I would need a back-up diflucan. Of course, doc informed me to call them if YI symptoms occur. Upon making the call I was informed to discuss it at my appointment tomorrow…”Hello, do you know what 1 more day could mean?” So I picked up Monistat 1 day or night ovule for quick relief. Inserted at 630p. By 9p the ovule dissolved and the fire started along with itching and throbbing. My first thought was “how the he** do I get this out of me before my cooter bursts into flames”. Thank heavens I found this thread. The last half hour was more bearable reading all of the detailed comments, some making me burst out laughing instead of crying. Although it’s not really funny that so many woman have to experience feeling like a blow torch is brazing their lady parts it kept my mind occupied and gave me a bit of assurance that what I was experiencing was common. I can’t say I will leave my physicians office again without insisting I have the order for the back-up diflucan. This will be a one and done experience for me.Read More Read Less

Im 16 years old. This is my first yeast infection ive got(im not sure how i got it, im not sexually active and i shower regularly). I didnt know what it was at first until i looked it up and i had all the signs for a yeast infection. First i tried some home remedies, but they were taking to long to work. So my mom told me about monistat, i wanted to use the 7 day treatment because i didnt kno how my body would react to the 3 day or the 1 day. My mom got me the one day anyway. I used it right before i went to sleep,so i can lay dowm down like the directions said. I went to sleep pretty fine. I woke up at 4am and i felt like i was lit of fire. It burned and itches horribly i was crying for hours amd i tired everything to make it stop. NOTHING WORKED. I missed school because of it. I was awake untill about 2pm and i woke uo 2 hours later. The pain and itch was very mild so i was able to handle it, about 5 minutes later it hurt and itched horribly again. I couldn't move and all i did was cry. Nothing stopped the itch and pain at all. Now it's been about 21 hours since i first used the Monistat day 1 treatment and the burn is gone(for now) but the itch is still here. I genuinely do not recommend this product to anyone at all. A bomb just went off inside my vagina. I don’t know how else to describe it. I inserted the ovule 30 min ago and now I am laying down waiting for the burn to subside…still waiting…hopefully that burn means it’s killing the yeast infection. This is definitely one of those times where I can’t help but think how much easier men have it.

I thank god I didn’t have the extreme pain that others have experienced in these reviews. I believe that could be because I didn’t have that bad of an infection maybe? But it still felt slight itching, burning/stabbing feeling, and the entrance of my vagina hole was swollen. After feeling the discomfort and reading the reviews I went to shower it off, but I didn’t feel the ball inside of me anymore. Idk if it leaked out or if it’s still in there somewhere lol. I will just go for a pill next time which was recommended in the reviews by others instead. Read More Read Less

The last time I had yeast infection was in 2009. I got it from taking bubble baths not knowing I was allergic to the soap I was using. Fast forward here in 2023 in late December. I was taking a shower and I forgot my dove unscented soap on my truck. PS I’m a truck driver. I decided to wash my private area with some body wash. And in the back of my head I said I’m going to get a yeast infection. A couple days later I saw yellow discharge. There was no itching and no order. So yes I knew it was a yeast infection. It wasn’t a severe one where it look like cottage cheese. So, when I finally had the time to go shopping, I purchase Monistat 1. I got the 1 instead of the 3 and the 7 because my period is about to come and I feel very uncomfortable inserting anything why my vagina is trying to get cleansed out. Prior to my purchase I did read the reviews . I I saw a lot of people being uncomfortable while using this medication. Today is January 7 I did take it yesterday. It took about 20 minutes for the reactions to kick in. Now the way I describe the chemical reaction in my vaginal area. I was working I did take it around 1:00 PM and it felt like a tingling ticklish sensation at first then I felt it was particles inside my vagina. I would not describe it burning I would not describe it as a cooling feeling either. I just knew something was present in my vagina, but the thing that bothered me the most what’s the tickling feeling because the tickling make you want to grab your vagina and stop whatever tickling you. I did not scratch it because it was not itching and it wasn’t hurting. It was a slight discomfort where I was moving around to stop tickling. It lasted no more than 30 minutes. Now before taking this, I was wearing a sanitary napkin because my discharge was all day. So of course I put another sanitary napkin on when I took the Monistat 1. Because commonsense will tell you this thing is not going to disappear and your vagina. It Has to come out and the egg shape medication is pretty thick. I wish I could show pictures because now I’m looking into my panties and I don’t see any Yeast. Read More Read Less

Hey, just another victim that didn’t read the reviews. I’m currently laying with my cooch towards the fan, so mad at myself for even doing this. I didn’t even feel this much discomfort from my actual yeast infection. Never doing this again. The oral treatment is way better. Definitely worth the doctors visit. Don’t put yourself through this.
