I had bariatric surgery on 3/2/09, and was prescribed this by my bariatric center. So far, it has been doing the job wonderfully.

I have been on all the different brands and began with Triniscon in 1957 when becoming pregant. I do not have the intrinsic factor. Unfortunately it took to 2002 to find out I am celiac, my bones being depleted of calcium and my being anemic. Up until the present time the medication has done an excellent job but at present I am having a great deal of difficulty of getting my Hgb/Hct up to a 12 level. Had colon cancer 2005, chemo, and now going thru the process of same, colon cancer surgery April 4th and beginning chemo soon. Hope this medication is not discontinued as I am sure there are many others who like me need the medication.Read More Read Less

seemed to work over 1 year period but got side effects of swollen lips and ecsema.

I was given FOLTRIN after I gave birth to my son, because of the great amount of blood I lost. So far I have had to side effects. At first I did have a little bit of an upset stomach, butit quickly subsided with in a day or so.
