I am using this medication with the new over the counter Asthmanefrin. I found the directions easy to use. Still a little confused about the dosage to .5 provided, but I took the 3 breaths like directed and I felt the improvement within 5 minutes, an improvement I must say, I never felt with albuterol. I will continue to use this medication to help alleviate my tightening of chest and wheezing d...

It is difficult to get an infant to take an inhaled treatment, especially a very sick infant who is retracting and striding and fighting. However, within a very short span of time -- roughly ten to fifteen minutes -- she was doing much better. At 18 months old, croup has happened once before. This time it is much more severe and lasting longer than the last. She had an initial pulse ox of 80-8...

I was perscibed an inhaler for asthma. I found that it was actually causing attacks. I would take it as prescribed and within 20mins I would have another attack. I switched to the OTC racepeinephrine. I have an attack about 1 or 2 times a month. the atomizer is a pain to use but it works within seconds sometimes. One or two inhalations is perfect, if I panic, which sometimes happens when I get an attack, I do three or four inhalations, I get jittery, like too much caffeine. this usually passes quickly and is a small price to pay to breathe. I REALLY wish they would bring Primatine inhalers back. It was much easier to use.The sole reason primatine was taken off the market was that it contained fluorocarbons which are harmful to the ozone layer. but automobiles aren't helping and we still have them.Read More Read Less

For me, it works better than my prescription! What I do not like about it is the jitters. But I would rather deal with that instead of the wheezing!

The medicine works great. I was diagnosed w.COPD 15 years ago. I've been admitted to hospitals 5-10 times in critical distress. I am now finding that the racepinephrine is working better than any other medications prescribed for my COPD. Do I have COPD or just plain old asthma. (Which is bad enough.) Do not like the Asthmanefrin atomizer....which has been discussed by other users.

I couldn't hardly breath and had a bad rattle in my chest from a very bad asthma attack. I got Asthmaneferin from Walgreens, put it together in the parking lot and within minutes I felt much better, and my symptoms were gone. I will be sure to keep this with me for in a emergency situations.

During an attack I put the inhaler together and used it at night outside Walgreen's without needing the instructions. It worked within a minute or two. Will definitely use this until I am able to find an effective naturopathic and/or Chinese medicine replacement.

this Med helps Me breath better, but the effects of it scare me. I have almost all the side effects. After they go away it works good.

My son is 2 with chronic and severe respiratory issues since day one. They gave him this last night in the ER and I would say within about ten minutes he improved greatly. I had given him 3 albuterol treatments at home which did not do much before bringing him in. They told me that they could not prescribe this to be used at home because it also had respiratory side effects and patient needs to be monitored in hospital when receiving it????? Interesting on how the other reviewer appeared to give to her child at home. Maybe it depends on the attending physician but I would love to have it at home!Read More Read Less

While I'm not endorsing the overuse of inhaled medication in infants, I think this medication was absolutely perfect in this instance.Read More Read Less
