This medication has been outstanding for me. I can't take any other one. I am just annoyed that insurance companies charge an ancillary fee when I can't take a generic and I was unaware of any generic for Felbatol. I have been on this medication since 1994 and have had no side effects from it.

Only med that worked for me. Switched to it after giving up on Topamax [worse med in my experience]. Other meds that I tried, and failed, are Keppra and depakote. Made me very ill for first couple of weeks but after that, no grand mals. Only downside is I have to get my blood checked regularly for the aplastic anemia risk that comes with it. The other downer is I have to take 600mg 6x a day...that is a lot!

robin,38 yrs old, has been on this for 20 yrs, the only drug that has every come close to stopping his seizures. started 10-1995 and within 3 months was seizure free. I prefer felbatol, but , ins will not pay for it. some of the generic are better than others

I have been on this med for over 10 years and I am now Seizure FREE!!! and Havent taken the medication in almost 8 months!

anemia low wbc . increased seizures , reduced simple partial seizures then I would black once a week instead .. would rather have mild seizures daily than black out weekly 58 years old took felbatol in y 30,s
