My husband & I have been TTC for two years now. I started the gonal-f injections five days ago. They have not been that bad. I don't feel like a "crazy person" like I did when I was taking the clomid. I had one dominant folicle on my ultrasound today so I'm excited by that!

Yesterday was my last day of the 6 injections and this is my first time trying the Gonal F. Which our insurance did not cover. Just went in for my vaginal ultrasound and no activity. I'm pretty bummed because we tried Clomid and that didn't do anything to me to. I had a feeling today that it wasn't going to help but I did not want to give up trying! So, I'm back on the injections for 4 more days. ...

Gonal-F is SO EASY to use and is almost completely painless. I am terrified of needles and this medication is almost a pleasure to use. Seriously... no pain. What a great product!

I am on day 7 of injections. I tried Clomid twice and ended up hospitalized due to softball sized cysts on both ovaries, so i am a bit worried this medication will do the same :/ So far it has been ok since with this medication they monitor you much closer. My only complaint is that i have had horrible cramps ever since shot 1 and i feel as if i have to walk very gingerly.

I am here to follow up I was one of the first reviews on the drug and like the other person said it can be quite costly even if you have some type of insurance coverage. The first time I took the drug I ovulated but my ovulation level was a 6 which the doctor wanted it to be a 12 or higher we tried it again and I had a a lot of large follicles and I ovulated at a 17.3 but I'm not pregnant I started my cycle a few days after I found out. I am sad but I don't know if I will try again I may go to the next step of IVF! But good luck what doesn't work for me may work for somebody else. Baby dust........ Read More Read Less

I started using gonal f about a week ago to help me concieve and thus far everything has been great I have way more follicles then most patients and there're at a great size so like most of the reviewers im excited to see where this leads me. My husband and I have been try to have a baby for quite sometime and have not been successful, gonal f is worth a try from what I can see, but what important fact that reviewers forgot is the drig can get costly and most insurance don't cover all the cost, but from what I can tell this is the best for us right now....sincerly lady who's trying to concieve ,I'll let everyone no my results in about two weeks!Read More Read Less

Okay I am here to follow up. It has been a few weeks and I went back to have my progesterone level taking on 08/31/09 and the doctor called me back and told me that I ovulated but it was low it was only a 6 where they like it to be a 12 or higher. She said it was still a chance I could be pregnant and that I should take a pregnancy test on 09/10/09. Everybody kept calling and asking me if I felt like I was pregnant which was really annoying because what is it suppose to feel like if I've never been pregnant before! But on Sunday I felt really weird and I was having some really bad cramps and I was laying down and I felt wet all the sudden low and and behold my period came and early! I was scared since I wasn't suppose to take the pregnancy test until 09/10 I didn't know if I was having a miscarriage so I called the doctor and someone called my back and said everything was okay! I was a little sad but with the low ovulation level I wasn't devastated. So yesterday I started the shots again at 150 per shot each night I go back to the doctor on Monday to see how its doing. Hope it works this time. Baby dust! Read More Read Less

I posted my concerns about using the gonal pen a few weeks ago. I had my first ultrasound and blood work it was a little weird because unlike clomid you have to vist the doctor more frequently and you wake for the doctor to call with the next step. For my first ultrasound the doctor said that they saw an egg but it wasn't big enough and my blood levels did not meet requirements so they instructed me to take the shot for 4 days. I went back for another followup last Friday and they told me to take the HCG (preganacy hormone shot) and have intercourse that night. I didn't do anything on Saturday and we went in on Sunday to have a IUI procedure. The shots didn't hurt but the anticipation is killing me!I have the blood work on Monday to check if I ovulated. So wis me luck :) Read More Read Less

When me and my husband got married we wanted to have kids right away and we tried for about a year and no baby. Finally, I went to the doctor and they told me I had PCOS.I was prescribed Clomid we tried it for about four cycles and I ovulated with a 150mg dose my doctor decided to try 200mg and I didn't ovulate so we decided to be more aggressive and start the injections. My doctor prescribed gonal-f and my first injection is tonight. I am so nervous, I am not scared of the shot but I am anxious to see if it works.....I have my first blood test and ultrasound on Monday so I will update you guys and let you know how it is. I saw a lot of comments on Clomid but none of the gonal-f shot and we need to support each other, so I will keep you updated. Good luck everyone I know this is hard.........Baby Dust Read More Read Less
