Just let me start by saying I almost didn't get the treatment becasue of the reviews I read on this site. I am a 50 yr old women that loves to run. I had my knee scoped 2 years ago and am now bone on bone and was looking for some relief. My Dr. suggessted Euflexxa. I was excited for the chance of running without pain. Then I started to do research online and everything written was absolutely terri...

I am preparing for this Euflexxa and quite frankly I am more nervous than before reading the reviews on this procedure. I had surgery on 11/26/10 and I am still inable to function. I can barely walk and the pain is so intense I wake almost nightly to screeming out in pain. I know that I have to try something, I can not continue in this pain and on pain medications. I am a heart patient and diab...

Euflexxa did nothing for me. I had my 3rd injection 4 weeks ago. My knee pain has become worse. The injections were relatively easy and painless. Was hopeful for some relief at the very least. I got none.

Just satarted my second 3 injection round, went on here for information I have osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Orthopedic Surgeon said it woukd help the osteoarthritis and i was a good candidate with good knee cartilage. What a difference i could resume walking without pain, simple thinga like walking on and off curbs, staira, walking on the sands of the beach. It lasted a long time, started working in a place with cement stairs and the pain returned slowly. And then i felt back to where i was. Two months of knee throbbing on and off and one injection in both knees 24 hours ago and i feel better. I will update this. No reactions, certainly some redness and soreness in one of the previous injections but nothing bad. Interesting conversation i had with new Rhumatologist he was surprised i had euflexxa, said preferred other. When i mentioned that to the orthopedic dr, her comment was that may be true, she works with multiple solutions, but in her experience of rare side effects she felt this was a good fit. Didn’t go into insurance maybe that played a role in her decision. Read More Read Less

2 months after the full course, 3 injections, my pain is much less. Cortosteroids did not do much. Euflexxa did.

I have suffered with severe osteoarthritis in my knee. My doctor suggested gel injections to help manage the pain as I am too overweight for a knee replacement. I was in pain prior to the injections, but could walk, stand, and function - just with pain and discomfort. Since the injections (which were 4 weeks ago), my knee is extremely tight, my leg is twice as swollen, there is much more fluid above my knee joint putting more pressure on the joint, my joint is extremely stiff, I struggle to straighten my joint without extreme pain, I cannot stand for more than a few minutes at a time, and walking is unbearable- and I am a teacher. My days are full of excruciating pain every day. Do not get these injections. They will just make your knee worse. Read More Read Less

I am rethinking my May knee replacement now. I have tried Durolane and one other viscosupplementation injection and they were awful. The durolane was super painful for days and only lasted a short time. There was never complete relief. After one of three Euflexxa, I am essentially pain free. I have pushed myself to a higher level of physical activity and still good. I can't wait to see how well I do with three injections.

I had my third injection a wk ago ,cannot find that review ,so doing another ,it has been a mixed bag for me ,first injection tolerable with four days relief,2nd injection tolerable, followed by two wks of pain needed a walking stick to get around 3 rd injection OMG the pain from that injection I had tears running down my face ,a wk on I would say the pain is at about 5 /10 for me ,so much improvement, hope it continues like this, from first injection to the last was 6 wks I would say no more for me my friend had a knee replacement 3 wks ago and she has great movement goes up and down stairs and can ride an exercise bike,I think I have wasted my time how ever the injection has worked somewhat , unfortunately not a permanent solution, and don't want to go through that injection experience again ,for those of you that it didn't hurt you I am very happy for you ,I guess it's worth a try you maybe one of the lucky people Read More Read Less

Every time I have had X-rays of my knees the Dr says “ well you’re a candidate for knee replacement. 25 years ago I started Synvisc injections which I would get after a couple of years. Had them at least 2 times maybe 3. Moved to Florida in 2005 and needed injections again. I am a ranked tennis player, and Dr’s again ,since new patient and new X-rays , first words were “ you’re a candidate for knee replacement. Tried Euflexxa this time and have had much better success lasting at least 7 years both times. Now I live in Ga and need injections again and will be getting Euflexxa again. Can’t mess with success. I am now 80 years old, don’t play as much tennis or tournaments anymore because of rotator cuff issues, but still will get Euflexxa for my knees.Read More Read Less

My experience with Euflexxea has been a mixed bag ,my first injection it's self was tolerable I had about four days relief, my second injection ,same tolerable with excruciating pain untill my final injection ,my injections were two wks apart ,at this point I was of the opinion that this was not going to work for me ,but wanted to finished what I had started ,my third and final injection was something I was not prepaid for ,the injection was so painful ,could not walk afterwards at this point I was so upset and so frustrated, because like everyone else this was my last option next step TKR ,at about 4am the day after I was inso much pain and could not put my foot flat on the floor ,by 8am the pain was gone ,then two days later I was amazed about 75-80% of my pain was gone I hope this continues like this as I was convinced after the second injection this was not working and the pain was intense ,but I am glad that I pushed through to the last injection ,for now very happy fingers crossed it's all down hill from here ,,good luck I certainly think it's worth a try ??Read More Read Less

Like everyone else I turned to Euflexxea,to try to avoid knee replacement,I am 73 and have always been very active have had two injection so far ,not sure if it worse but very painful still for me ,I get my third injection in four days so fingers crossed ,ATM I have found relief from herbal knee patches I am not here to promote them so I will not mention what I am using ,however for now they are providing me a fair amount of relief, hoping for a massive change after my third Euflexxea injection next wk ,even though I found the injection a little painful , nothing like what I have been experiencing,my doc did say they don't work for everyone but I thought well worth a try , hopefully they will work for me ,and I think it's fab for those of you that it has worked for ,I will do an update after my third injection Read More Read Less

After my first shot, I noticed little difference. After the second shot, I had terrible back pain, nausea, headache, and dizziness. Hoping it goes away soon.

Osteoarthritis following years of injury induced patellofemoral arthritis resulted in limited mobility in my right knee. Hyper-extending or bending my knee more than 90 degrees resulted in immediate pain, followed by days or weeks of pain and instabilty. I received a three shot series of Euflexxa in the summer of 2021. I remain painfree and without any significant mobility limitations 27 months later. I felt immediate relief from the very first injection. I wish I had known of this treatment option a decade earlier.Read More Read Less

I’m bone on bone and have so many issues.. pain with my knees. It’s hard to ambulate some days without crutches..my knee pops constantly and gets stiff . I can’t do stairs. After I get my injections my knee feels “normal” and this lasts 6 mths yo a year for me! Best decision ever!! Euflexxa is def a good choice!

I have bone on bone arthritis both knees. Both menisci in R right are gone. I’m 72. Was very active until that last shred of meniscus on R gave way and created instability and grinding in R knee. At the worst I had almost no pain on walking, no swelling, just unstable knees, grinding and trouble with stairs and hills. Limited my yoga practice. I’m 4 weeks post a 3 week course Euflexxa in both knees. Had immediate improvement from the first injection. I can go up stairs almost normally. Yoga better. Able to do more strengthening exercises. I don’t think it’s placebo effect. Might not last forever but I’m happy to feel more confident to do more things. Would like to defer knee replacements a few more years. Read More Read Less

I have been getting this medication in my right knee for a torn meniscus and osteoarthritis every 6 months for two years. I am 68 years old, and I was having trouble with my knee locking out as I walked, almost falling over. I did fall a couple of times. I had pain with bending my knee deeply. A couple of times I had a sharp pain with the injection. The PA now uses a numbing spray and talks me through it. It is just a little fast pinch. I now have no pain with walking, aerobics, dancing, etc. Combined with exercise and stretches, I have good flexibility (still not as much as my left leg, but close enough), and have not had my knee lockout again. I mostly avoid jumping. :-) Today the PA said he was impressed with how well I had done on this medication. He thought I would need a total knee replacement way before this time. I prefer the shots as long as they work well. Worth a try to avoid surgery. Read More Read Less
