Had Anemia my entire life, more specifically the problem is too much iron in my liver. Doctor prescribed deferasirox to move iron either to the rest of my body or to remove the excess iron from my body. First week, vision and hearing was a little funny. Its been about 2 months now and I feel great! Energy is up, appetite is up, really I have no complaints

I had so many blood withdrawals that it is very painful and difficult to find a good vein and the blood draws are now taken from the top of my lower arm. Because of the gauge of the needle used it is extremely painful. Our insurance changed and the new company will not cover any of the cost - it is several thousands a month. I had no side effects from Exjade (deferasirox) and my numbers dropped to 300 from a start of 2000. I have no insurance to help cover this cost so I only now can monitor my diet.Read More Read Less
